We've been to Yi-ban near Canary Wharf a few times before, and expected a similar quality of food from this restaurant. I took my family there, 6 of us. This is quite a trendy restaurant with decent service. However the food was really really poor. Limited choice on menu. Microwave dim sum tasted better than the one from this restaurant. My local chinese restaurant could have cooked better starters and main course.
Go there if you are not too bother about quality of food.

Food was very good and well presented. Service was also pretty good. However, when the bill came my views changed very quickly. It is completely overpriced in relation to all aspects of this restaurant - there were two of us and it came to well over £100; we barely drank too! It was empty when we were there....but i am not surprised. I have a feeling this a place you go once and dont return...which is a shame as it has potential to be very good - unless they only want the super-rich from imperial wharf!

Trading on its 2005 reputation I'm afraid.
Food usually dry and overcooked. Service curt at best, and rushed.
I'm not sure if they've persisted with the band; I hope not. How they managed to find any west indians who can play Bob Marley hits badly and without rhythm is beyond me, and I know because they played very loudly.
Not cheap either and on two occasions they persisted with a demand for service to be added to the credit crd bill although it is clearly included.
Never again.

We had heard good things about Yi Ban, but were really disappointed ! The food was really only average and we found it very off putting to find when we arrived that sauces/dips for Dim Sum were ready on our table, rather congealed looking, and weren't sure whether they had already been used by previous clients. As there were flies around we decided not to use them, but when we overheard another table ask for fresh sauces and the confirmation from the waiter that they were in fact fresh, we realised we weren't the only people to assume this.

Go to this restaurant immediately.
All of the food is absolutely delicious, exquisitely presented and in very relaxed but elegant decor.
Well worth the slightly higher price range. The small selection of sushi is completely amazing too.

This restaurant has to be tried to be believed. The best Oriental food I have ever tasted and each dish comes with a special twist.
Service is excellent and the decor fantastic.
It's on the expensive side but worth every penny.

I had heard good things about the Docklands version of this restaurant from friends and since I was being lazy I thought I would visit the Chelsea one.
This is a little gem. The staff couldn't have been more professional, obliging without being over bearing. The food was delicious, we even ordered more starters and you really felt you'd been 'out' for dinner. Shame it's a little off the beaten path, as if it was located in Chelsa village, everyone would be there for their special nights out.
