Aubaine (Brompton Cross)

Excellent atmosphere on a Saturday lunchtime on a sunny January afternoon, with plenty of natural light coming in the huge windows. The flip side of this is that the completely full restaurant meant a few details were overlooked in the dine. However, we didn't find any of the rudeness mentioned in other reviews, the serving staff were unfailingly polite and warm, even if they did fluff a couple of minor details. The food was a mix of outstanding, decent and disappointing and for the price tag attached, you would probably expect better in an environment where there are a dozen other places to eat within a stone's throw.

Good bread - this is where it starts and ends. No service - just waiters. Way overpriced for what you get. Being French I smiled about this rip-off place - there are much better breakfast & brunch places in this area of London than this one (and I do not mean the Brasserie next door!).

One of the worst dining experiences in my life!. Food got better, but the service is terrible. The General Manager is the rudest and most arrogant member of the team. Never to return!

really good food...the bread (homemade) is to die for. we've been for lunch and have the 12£ offer who was a really good deal. i recomende aubaine to any people looking for a good french restaurant in central london
