Just came back from a lovely meal at Tong Ka-Nom Thai.

Very impressed with the food, the service and the price.

Nice and gay friendly. Service with a smile :-) Only downside is the lack of space..we had to share a table with another party.

Would definitely return.

Last night the place was full and the clientele crossed plenty of demographics which suggests people had made the trip. Snappy service and very passable food made for a nicely balanced evening. When the chef came out to ask how we'd found our meal, he cared, which always helps. Duck curry and the leafy chicken starter are both excellent.

I consider myself so fortunate that this is my local thai. My boyfriend & I go there about once a week & have never had a bad meal in this place. If you are wanting exceptionally tasty, spicy thai food in casual surrounds I don't think you could find better that Tong Ka-Nom Thai in London. Our absolute favourite dishes are the Tom yum goong soup, the papaya salad & the speciality fish fillet. Their prices have gone up a little recently, but you can still get a superb meal for 2 for £25.

Great food, top quality not at top dollar. Very impessed all dishes very authentic and exceptionally flavoursome. The fish with the crispy basil was the best i've ever eaten and the starter of chicken in pandan leaves was so aromatic and full of flavour i could have made a meal of them with a bowl of rice. Try the desert of sticky coconut rice with mango it was awesome. I will definitly be fequenting this place!!! TOP NOTCH!!!

Recommended by a friend who raved about it. We often go there with Thai friends (so food must be good) and take our own drink - at least you know the bill is only for the food and not overpriced booze!

The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. A friendly cafe type restaurant which we now recommend to others. Well worth the trip to Willesden!

The overall presentation of the food and was good but it lacked the "authenticity" I was seeking. Straw mushrooms were not used in the tom yum soup and it lacked sourness and tasted too sweet. The chicken green curry included peas and carrots which I was not accustomed to. Rest of the dishes were average. Service was good but prices not that cheap and dessert of mango and sticky rice was the highlight of our meal.

I love this place. It's cheap and the food is fantastic. My partner and I were meeting some friends here once at 8 o'clock. I made her get there an hour early so I could have an extra course! It's bring your own booze (there's an okay off-license 50 yards away) which makes it even better value for money. All the starters are great. The Laab (salad with meat) is delicious. Their mains are pretty spicy so be prepared.

Book ahead and get a table upstairs. The only downside is that downstairs is pretty pokey and a bit too close to the toilets.

I live in Harlesden and discovered this place last week, when driving down Harrow road to find somewhere new to eat.

Excellent value, reasonably authentic dishes (we had been to Busaba Eathai the weekend before!!!) and although they cant serve alcohol, their is an offlicense next door selling Wine, Cobera, etc next door!

Worth a visit if you live anywhere near!!! Looked busy on Friday so perhaps call ahead to book at weekends!!!

I absolutely love this place - and although I can see what the last reviewer was saying about downstairs - for the great food and value for money it can't be beat. I go to Tong Ka-Nom quite regularly and find it to always be full, with a nice neighbourly atmosphere. The fact that you can bring your own booze is fab too!
