your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
Well, this restaurant is definitely one of my favourites in London. I have eaten there many times and always find it thoroughly enjoyable. I have tried many dishes on the menu and they are all exceptionally tasty.
The menu is extensive and all the dishes my friends and I have eaten we have very much enjoyed. The waiting staff are very helpful, attentive and friendly... and yes, you do often get a complimentary shot of whatever you like at the end of the evening.
The portion sizes of the meals is very generous and you definitely do not leave feeling hungry. The decor is also pleasant which obviously adds to the atmosphere.
The food and wine are also very reasonably priced. I would definitely reccommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys healthy, hearty, Italian cuisine!

Went to La Brocca for a meal. Have to say the food is pretty bog standard English-style Italian grub served in a not terribly attractive subterranean dungeon-style canteen. All told, pretty dreadful - I thought this kind of thing died a death in the 90s. All that's missing is an old bottle of chianti on the table with a half burnt red candle stuffed in it. Not cheap either. And the wine list is dreadful. All told, quite amusingly bad really. And the staff aren't terribly friendly.
For a really good laugh, however, try the bar upstairs! The wine is, if possible, even worse, the beer is expensive and is horrid imported Czech lager. No choice of anything more interesting. This place really has to be seen to be believed - it's like dining out in Luton in the early 1970s. So bad you have to laugh!
