La Gaffe

We went back to La Gaffe last weekend for the first time in three or four years. I've hardly stopped smiling since.

This is exactly what a good local Italian should be: the service is excellent, friendly and charming without being forced; the food is just very very good (the panna cotta is superb), and the ambience is hard to quibble with - yes, the music couldn't be cheesier, but it works.

A lot of fun, and the kitchen rarely misses a beat.
