La Smorfia

I have been eating at la smorfia with my family for about 10 years. the food has NEVER disappointed. both the owner and the head chef are always very friendly and go the extra little bit to make sure everything is fine. yes, sometimes it's a little bit chaotic (only sometimes) but the food and firendliness more than make up for it. the bruschetta starters are the best I have ever tried and I have tried this dish from many restaurants, both here and in Italy. the pasta is always al dente. the bread is home made and of the finest quality. the wine list is also good and reasonably price. definitely worth trying if you are in the area.

avoid this place.

My family reunion was ruined by awful service, the management did not have the decency to respond to our complaints.

poor quality, underserviced, arrogant attitude that prevails.

Not only does la Smorfia do fantastic Italian food ,but they have one of the best wine list around.Love Chianti,love the Montepulciano, love house wine.

Get sipping at la Smorfia- you won't regret it.

I have been going to La Smorfia for 5 years and I love eating there. The food is always delicious, especially the pastas cooked fresh by the chef.

I recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a taste of authentic, tasty southern Italian food.

this restaurant is always empty, bad attitude, not friendly at all, the food is sloppy, cold and badly presented.

not mentioning the long time between the entree and the ridiculus main.

i never, never had worst meal than that.

La Smorfia has a wonderful air to it. My family and I go there at least once a week, and know it feels like home. Everyone is friendly, cheerful and always willing to help. The specials are fantastic and are always scruptious. They hold parties which have been, in my opinion excelent. The food is not expensive, and is in a good price range for most people. Overall, La Smorfia is the place to be in Hampstead!
