I went to this restaurant last night, and had a wondeful time. I certainly do not agree with your disappointed Valentine.

The restaurant is small and friendly with personal but efficient service.

But most importantly the food is excellent. The best test of a chef is often simple dishes. Pesce fritti were light, moist and delicious. It is a very easy dish to ge wrong. Sea Bass was also properly cooked.

My fellow diners enthused about calves' liver, which again can easily be tough or tasteless.

There is a good wine list.

It is also a bargain; food of this quality costs a lot more in other parts of London.

My girlfriend and I had a most enjoyable meal on Valentine's night.We found the food,presentation,service and value of a high standard and would definitely come back for more.

I live just up the road from this restaurant and have been going to it for the last seven years. It is my favourite restaurant in West Hampstead because of its charming decor, incredibly friendly owners and staff and tasty food. It's not cutting edge cuisine but good reliable Italian food served wtih flair and charm.The lunchtime menu is particularly good value for money.

What a rip off!!! Valentines night is always a rip off anyway.

I could of cooked better and more substantial food than this. Was looking for somewhere I could go regularly but unfortunately this will not be it. Waited to long for our mains and it was nothing special when it arrived. I was particularly displeased with my partners food something I could cook with ease. My lamb cutlets were 100% fat an bone. My meatball starters was to small and by the end I was starving. I am very angry about being ripped off!

I agree with the previous reviewer: this is a little local gem. The fact it is small ensures attention is paid to all aspects of the experience, most importantly the food! I have been eating here for many years and never had a duff dish.

Unpretensious, honest food with friendly but non-intrusive service. Recommended
