No great wow factor here...but fairly good food in nice surroundings. Far too expensive, but you are paying for location (Paternoster Square is beautiful) - the food is nothing to write home about. Service was good.

I would recommend going here for a drink, but save your food money for somewhere where you can get great food for a similar spend.

This place is definitely not worth a visit. The food is as other reviewers can confirm seriously overpriced! I paid £22 for some wild salmon and even though the fish was of good quality they managed to ruin it by over cooking it. With the salmon I got 4 tiny bacon bits and probably 7 broad beans. £22 anyone?? Together with some potatoes and water the bill was almost £30. Excuse me but I can go to a Michelin starred restaurant like Petrus and have their lunch menu for £30 and that includes amuse, starter, main, dessert, bonbon trolley - the lot! Anyone with half a brain and a couple of taste buds would know what to pick. Stay far away from Paternoster Chop House unless you have too much money and no taste.

Soooooooooo overpriced. £20 for bangers and mash or cottage pie. I don't mind paying for decent food but this was okay at best - it is difficult to understand how bangers and mash or cottage pie can ever cost that much. Service was okay but not discrete - bang, crash wollop most of the time. Chicken pie takes over 30 minutes to be "freshly prepared" so be warned if you are in a rush.

Honestly this place is so overpriced.
