Tagine Restaurant

A lovely restaurant - beautifully adorned in Moroccan design.

The food was delicious - we had Merguez sausage to start which was divine and tagines for main.

It was a little overpriced, the tagines being £10-£12 each and needing an accompanying dish which you pay another £3 for but then as it is bring your own it doesnt work out too expensive.

Would definitely recommend.

Went there last night for a birthday meal - as there were over 10 people we had to have the set menu for 20 pounds each. The food was fine but a complete rip off. For the set meal you get a shared meza dip with pitta and a main. The main are priced on the non-set menu between 9-11pounds - so you pay 10 pounds for some houmous! On top of that they added service charge for a large group! When we pointed this out to the staff they refused to let us pay normal menu prices!

My boyfriend and I had dinner here a few weeks ago - what an amazing find. Beautiful food, very good service and a great atmosphere - will be going back soon, for sure!

best restaurant in balham, food always fresh service always excellent and byo! who could ask for more.... be careful of the bottled water they really over charge on this so can make your bill a surprise....

We went to Tagine for a birthday dinner last week and had a fantastic night. As there were 10 of us we had the set menu which had a good range of starters and mains for £20 each. The food was tasty and staff great to our rather noisy and festive party. Would definitely recommend for both large and small groups and will be going again! And to top it off it's BYO (and there's a Threshers next door).

I regulary go to Tagine restaurant , Great Atmosphere & the food and service are top of the range at very affordable cost! you can not ask for more .

Great atmosphere, great service - a really fun place to go. An excellent feature is that you can bring your own wine (no corkage) and there is a Thresher's next door.

This makes an already reasonable evening out even more so. The food is pretty good, too! Balham is looking better every day...

As Maroccan food goes, this was a bit of a letdown. The starters were tasty but portion size was tiny. My maincourse Couscous Royal was supposed to be lamb shank. It was no such thing. I've nothing against lamb shoulder (quite tasty really) but they should have sold it as such. The other lamb shank dish looked nothing like a shank either. Desert was quite nice. The atmosphere was good and the toilets are a bit special. Wouldn't go back though.
