Casa Mamma

We visited this restaurant in July 2008, awful food, I ordered spaghetti bolognese, which looked like it came out of a tin, a side order of garlic breads which were burnt to a crisp and inedible. I tried to complain politely and the waiter was rude and not interested at all. Refused to pay for half of the food and they didnt say a word of apology and just looked bored as if it happens all the time !

Have eaten here many, many times and the food is consistently decent and well priced. Good selection and pretty authentic. Service is usually good, but sometimes lax depending on the waiter it seems. Have had some great group meals where I must say the service has been excellent. Maybe when it is just oneself they think they'll get a poor tip so don't work so hard? Nothing has ever concerned me service wise as many restaurants at mid-range are similar. It is also very convenient and an easy 2 minutes from Kings Cross.

My partner and I went to Casa Mamma and to be honest with you I was disgusted with their service. We order some garlic bread to share but were served with a slice of bread each with garlic butter spread on. I also ordered some olives, which was not ripe and looked like it was sprinkled with dried herbs. My partner and I decided we were not happy with the food, we told the waiter and asked if we could have our bill. We had to wait 20 minutes for our receipt, and the restaurant was not busy. We never receive an apology! Their customer service skill is terrible and I would not recommend Casa Mamma.

four of us enjoyed a meal with a bottle of wine, two beers & two coffees for around £75, great food, fantastic service.

The location is great as well if you travel as we do (nottinghamshire) quite litterally 2 minutes from kings cross station.

Recently visited casa mamma on a trip into london. Great atmophere, lovely food and good value for money. Worth a visit to get a taste of italy in england!
