Having taken my brother to Alistair Little last week I can only say that the menu appears to have changed very little since the reviews below - posted 2 years ago and more. At £40 per head for a three course lunch I thought the price was a little steep - particularly given the strong competition only a few feet down the road.
The food was good, albeit lacking in culinary verve for the price and the atmosphere was comfortable for a business lunch although probably lacking in the romantic stakes. Waiting staff were a little...indifferent.
All in all a pleasant meal, perhaps over-priced by £10 per head.

I ate with a colleague today after reading the reviews and have to say, yes the food is good (not excellent), the staff are friendly and the environment is 'quite nice', basically a pretty pleasant experience, however the price. £80!! for a 2 course meal (incl tip), drinking tap water. You must be joking? You might get away with that for a while, but once the credit crunch really hits, this place will be empty. Grossly over priced - very cheeky!

Four of us ate at Alastair Little last night, and it was absolutely wonderful. Graet three courses. The meat eaters (who are a very fussy bunch) had 'the best steak they've ever tasted'. Unusually, an equal amount of thought and effort had gone into the veggie options I had. The restaurant was very relaxed and unpretentious, with just the right level of service. It's not cheap (£40 for 3 courses for dinner) but we all agreed it was well worth it.

I have never dealt with such rude people!! i can honestly say that i will never go back to this restaurant. first point on contact- calling the restaurant- an overly rude woman who claims to be "the manager" hung up several times. plenty of restaurants in london 100% better than this one. i do not reccomend. over priced, not great food and service to be desired!

Arrived the 20 minutes late due to delays at work. My colleagues were 45 minutes late but the staff we understanding and helpful. Not the usual London harrumphing. Set menu at £40 is a bit steep but I had no complaints about the food. 3 of us had the same chilli prawn starter which was lovely. All 5 had the fillet steak which was also good. The food isn't revolutionary but it's simple food cooked well.

Went here for a first anniversary dinner in October with my boyfriend. Lovely meal, although the main course was served with too much wasabi sauce for my liking! Service was great; we were seated as soon as we arrived, and they were quick with the food. Only problem was that the waiter kept coming over to check if we'd finished our wine every five minutes!
Quiet atmosphere, able to enjoy a conversation in peace
Bill was £110 with a bottle of wine and tip.
Oh, and Louis Walsh was there too!

£38 for a set lunch, in my opinion this represents poor value for money even in the centre of town - food is well cooked but presentation is nothing special and the service was friendly but patchy on the lunctime that I visited even though the place was only half full.I have paid less for more - Pied a Terre for instance.

We had a lovely evening at Alastair Little. I had a salad with onglet, tomato, and avocado as a starter, then the salmon, both of which were excellent. My son managed to order a starter and a main that both featured fois gras, his idea of heaven, and his order in particular was a very good value for the money. Desserts were also excellent--simple and delicious, without foolery. Service was kind and unobtrusive, and the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. I appreciated the range of the wine list, which included modest wines as well as extravagant ones. The food was thoughtfully conceived and well prepared, not extravagantly unusual, but very high quality.

Well presented and well prepared food with a strong Italian influence. We enjoyed attentive service and the pleasant surroundings. Fairly expensive but justified.

This place is good to OK. I paid £150 for 2 (inc 2*kir's and a £30 wine) and that's probably a bit heavy for the experience. Liked the relaxed atmosphere and the service was pretty attentive without being instrusive. The menu wasn't so inspiring, in fact we both struggled to match starters with mains. Execution was pretty good but no wow factor. Desert (Lemon cake) delicious though.
