Shocking service, no food in over an hour of waiting and we had to go up to find a server to take an order after being ignored - awful, avoid if you can.

Cons:

- avocado in my salad had black bits (I understand it probably just oxidized, but would prefer the black part cut out)

- my partner was handed a butter knife which made tackling a calzone rather difficult

- one waiter was a little bit pushy (or perhaps just overly enthusiastic?)

Pros:

- another waiter was really pleasant and helpful

- the food was good!

- the restaurant was spacious and not overcrowded at all

Overall, nice enough food and pleasant atmosphere. Save on the wine and grab a bottle on the way home :)

Had a lovely meal there another day with our new baby and 6 other friends. The place was easy to book, and was not crowded at all with service so good that we'd go back just for that alone.

We have dined at different branch before, and loved it also, but Ask Islington ticks all the boxes for us!

Variable menue was also vast, and I personally tested some of the dishes my comrades ordered. All were done to the highest spec, and could not be faulted!

Add the Nectar Card Holders offer to this - and you will not find a better place to be.

Highly recommend to everyone!
