We tried this local Indian Takeaway as it close to NW6 and it offers delviery. The reviews here and on other websites are rather good - but we were given the worst indian meal I have ever tasted.

For mains we ordered a butter chicken and a mild chicken curry. What we got was two chicken curries, both of which were obviously old and very watery, with no flavour. No butter chicken. The vegetables were from frozen and drowned in a tasteless coconut sauce. We never bothered to try anything else. We contacted the restaurant to remedy the situation, just to have the manager reply he was busing serving a table of twenty and didn't have time for our complaint. After much fighting, he eventually offered to send another order out, but would only replace one of the main dishes. To which we promptly sent everything back.

It's not the cheapest Indian restaurant around, and I don't mind paying for quality food, but this certainly isn't it.

London is blessed with several restaurants serving excellent food from Kerala (Rasa, The Kerala, Kerala Zone and Vijay) but Chemmeen may just be the best of the lot. The cooking is superb - the Calicut Lamb Fry and the Fish Moilee would have done any family in Cochin proud. The service and ambience are pretty good as well . The prices don't seem cheap but the portions are generous - all in all, good value for money. Surprised that this place hasn't got the custom or coverage it deserves.
