Stranded in London

Get down to Stranded in London West End. We went for the first time in July 08 when we went into london for a Show and our Anniversary.

I requested Meatballs and Mash for my husband as it's his favourite even though not on the Menu Marco arranged it for us and we had a great night.

Great food, fantastic staff and good value for money for high quality food. Give the Chef 48 hours notice if you want the best meatballs in London.

We have been 5 times since then and enjoyed every evening, food always good and very consistant.

We were on our first trip overseas on the way to Paris to celebrate our 35th anniversary. Coming from the sparsely populated Yukon, we expected to be overwhelmed by London's size and population. Stranded in London turned out to be one of many wonderful, unexpected surprises in this amazing city. I admit it was the name that caught our attention, but it was the exceptional food and service that guarantees we will return to on our next trip.

I was in a rush and needed to eat quickly and have a drink. I had a starter and a big glass of wine and they rushed through the bill for me. The waitress was cheerful and attentive throughout. Food was good quality. I would definitely go again. Prices for the West End were reasonable too.

A colleague and I had lunch at Stranded last week. The set 2 course menu offered delicious food at great prices. The service was friendly and attentive and we were delighted to find such a welcoming lunch venue so close to our offices. We'll definitely be coming here again.

Once again my wife and I have had an excellent meal in a really friendly atmosphere. We try to include a visit to Stranded in London whenever we are in London and find it's great for pre-theatre dinner. We would, and do, recommend Stranded in London to anyone.

Booked for a birthday meal for my wife before going to see 'Joseph'. It was wonderful. Marco and his staff were superbly attentive and friendly, in spite of being very busy. My wife had steak with pepper sauce, which she said was delicious and cooked just as she had requested. I had butterflied prawns with lemon rice. The prawns were the best I have ever tasted. Afterward, my wife had a lovely light apple tart and I had Tiramisu, both of which were excellent. The waitress had put a lighted candle on my wife's tart and she sang 'Happy Birthday' as she served it - much to my wife's embarrassment. A lovely touch which rounded off a perfect dining experience. It was so good that we booked again for the following night, when my wife had Spaghetti Bolognase and I had Spaghetti Carbonara, both of which were delicious. This time, we both had the superb Tiramisu. Thank you Marco & Co. for an unforgettable evening each time.

After reading all the reviews my boyfriend and I decided to celebrate our birthdays at the restaurant. I got amazing service when I called to book a table and was asked if we wanted a private room with no extra costs. We booked the private room for 13 people on a Saturday night.

As we hadn't seen the restaurant before we decided to have a look at it during the day and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely and when we arrived in the evening they had laid out some candles and a birthday card for the both of us.

The staff are very polite and very friendly with a good humour. The manager was very nice and friendly. The food was delightful and had a good range of Italian food as well as good wine.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a birthday meal in London.

10 of us arrived late on Friday and got an excellent service and great food! Every single person who served us had a smile on their face (despite the late hour) and the place had a great ambience. Would definitely recommend it both for a big bunch of people looking for good Italian food and for couples looking for a nice romantic spot. Enjoy!!!

Its good! been hunting for good standard italian restaurant since in London.my second time returning this restaurant since 2 years ago, was highly reccomended by a friend. food are perfertly cooked. i have a calamari and a grill thin slices steak with rocket as my secondi.thinly sliced steak are actally cut from a whole fillet steak . worth the price of 16 quids! my partner having the same starter and a spegetti frut di mare , they are very tasty ,big portion and just perfert for this price! should have tried other main course as well! They keep their standard since 2 years ago! waiter are friendly. this is one of the best italian in trafagar square area. would love to go there again.
