I used to be regular in Leon but after a management change in the restaurant, I visited in City, me or my friends haven't been happy to go there again. Staff seems to be over stretched and not so happy anymore.I think i was once served by a manager, a guy withouth a apron, and it was the worst service I've ever gotten. Rude, hasty and no eye contact or smile. Also food quality has gone down. Most of the food tastes like it is microwaved so I wouldn't certainly call it fresh! Shame about the price changes, I don't think Leon can compete with Eat or Pret anymore.

Absolutely awful. It was good when it first openned 4 years ago but now it has terrible service, food is not healthy and tasty anymore, portions are much smaller and overall a disgrace.

Greediest Fast Food Place in Town!

I have been a true fan to Leon for almost three years but they have constantly increased their prices, which means, it is not worth it anymore. They started off with an increase, then you had to pay extra for the bread and now you don’t even get bread with your soup which means you are paying £3.30 for a soup with some flat bread.

Really rubbish Leon – What happen to the almost alternative attitude towards food?

Regardless of the comments below (probably all fair), Leon make the most incredible soups - all seasonal, changing daily and full of fresh ingredients and wonderful flavour. Whenever working nearby I will always try whichever soup is on offer and it always makes a fantastic, tasty, healthy and good value lunch (approx £3 including flatbread for dipping/scooping). Not sure I'd put this place in the 'eating out' category, but in the right context the food is honest, seasonal, fresh and delicious. Although I have, on occasion, handed over £5.45 and received a paltry three meatballs in exchange...

I have to agree with the previous reviewers - the FOOD PORTIONS ARE TINY!!!!! I visit the canary wharf branch and usually get the gobi or the grilled chicken, and there is mostly just brown rice, with a little bit of coleslaw, and a measly portion of the real dish!

So disappointing. I was one of the early adopters of this restaurant but has gone downhill as the franchise has spread. And £6 is NOT cheap for lunch, specially when you have places like Paul, Pret, Wasabi, Crussh.....and the world is heading to a recession.

Will not be going back to Leon, too bad since I really like the food (whatever little they fit into the plate).

Tried Leon for the first time at the Canary Wharf restuarant.

Choose the Morrocan meatballs and to eat in. The food was luke warm, when it should have been piping hot. Very disappointing.

I will not be trying Leon again due to this bad experience.

I too am shocked with some of the comments below as leon is my favourite place to eat in the world! I go to the branch in Regent street at least 3 times a week and i have to say the service is a joy, like home away from home, the food always top quality and healthy too. Leon is indeed the future and i hope they open a lot more branches so more people get to have it in their lives. I bought a Leon book for myself and loved it so much i went and bought a load of them as xmas presents! It is warm and cuddly and informative in a really fun way. Truly original.

If you've never been there, pop in, it is terrific!

I felt moved to write a review after seeing some of the comments below. I think Leon is absolutely fantastic, and everything I've ever had has been delicious. Particularly the Chicken Superfood Salad, the Chicken Tagine and the Lamb Meatballs are wonderful. It is so nice to be able to be guaranteed healthy, delicious and reasonably priced food from a 'chain establishment'.

Of course because of its growing popularity its going to have some staff, and the occasional dish, that dont meet the usual high standard but I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to go.
