Great little local Italian restaurant.Recent revamp with the addition of new pizza oven. Very friendly and good value

This was probably the most disappointing restaurant I've been to in months. I had some sort of frozen beef burger covered in a sticky, sweet red wine sauce which had obviously been bought in (probably made by Tesco). My girlfreind had veal escalope which was woefully underseasoned and tough. Terrible, I'll never go back.

Having driven past this little Restaurant a hundres times, me and the Wife decided to stop and were glad we did.

Situated opposite the exit to Bruce Grove Station, San Marco is a cosy, attractive Italian Restaurant with a light, interesting interior and welcoming staff. The menu wasn't too big but gave a good selection of meat, fish and pasta dishes (no pizzas though) that were served surprisingly quickly and were very tasty.

In all we had two starters, main courses (with side orders), two deserts and a bottle of the house white for under £40 - astonishing value!

Were San Marco say in Stoke Newington or Crouch End, it would be booked up for weeks. Instead its in unfashionable Tottenham which is why I guess I drove past it for all those years! We'll certainly be back and hopefully enjoy it as much as we did on this occasion.
