What can I say? I am not particularly keen on this restaurant, so I could be biased, however going there with friends last night convinces me NEVER to go back there. This restaurant obviously cannot cope with more than two people in it. There were ten of us last night on our table with perhaps another ten people in the restaurant. They lost the order sent to them for a couple running late and when the food did arrive, mine was cold, whilst two others had to wait almost 20 minutes for their meals to arrive, the rest of us had finished our meals. In fairness a free bottle of wine was given, but you could see similiar things were happening on other tables where some people were being served with their food whilst others were waiting. I would NOT recommend anyone visiting this place. They either need a big rebrand or, sadly, close.

After living in Tottenham for around 6 months I was fretting that there was no where to eat out and have a good meal (If you want to sit in the kebab shop and have chicken and chips, Tottenham is the place for you) I almost cried when I found Marco's. Myself and 3 friends had an excellent time our first visit and would go back again and again. I HIGHLY recommend this as Tottenham's one and only true restaurant.

The San Marco is one of my favourite places in North London. It’s a family run business and a rare gem of a place with its own distinctive character, and a menu that never fails to please. Our friends and family have gathered there for regular catch ups, relaxed evenings and major reunions for more than 20 years. If I was going to use a cliché, I would say that “the San Marco is part of our DNA”.

We went along last Friday as part of a group of 24, of which 10 were children, overall we have a brill night, have used this restaurant over the yrs & always had a pretty good meal, the pizza oven recently fitted was a hit, i tried one & was very impressed, having a few Italian pals who are very critical of pizza, they gave them the thumbs up also.
Usual attentive service, very friendly, will be going back soon for pizza night.

Went there last Friday with a friend. We are both from the catering industry (one of us an Italian restaurant manager), and cannot help but be analytical when eating out (something that can spoil your experience if everything isn't right). But the service, food, and atmosphere could not be faulted. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable, the family members that own the place all came to check on us one by one, and the food was immediately voted best Italian food we had had in London. The woodfire pizzas were light, crispy, and flavoursome, and the vanilla cheesecake will make me cross London again just to re-experience it.
It is hard to find a restaurant that ticks all the boxes, but San Marco definitely does. It was unpretentious, fairly priced, authentic, and tasty. Definitely will be back!

Having lived in Tottenham for nigh on 30 years and having passed this little corner of Bruce Grove restaurant several times, my curiosity was aroused even further when I saw television crew around the restaurant this year, obviously filming for some Italian programme or the another and resolved to go in and try out the cuisine. I had the opportunity last Friday when I took my sister visiting from Canada. It looks very pretty from the outside, with lots of lights and plants inviting you to come on in, but I was disappointed with the interior decor.. I saw lots of wires criss-crossing the ceiling and ill-placed candles on the window ledge which didnt quite go with the whole scene! I wasnt overly impressed with the food, ravioli and swordfish, which was a bit under-seasoned, though I guess using less salt in food is a good health tip to consider for those with dodgy tickers! Would I rush back in for seconds? No, it didnt leave an impression on me, but at least I know more about San Marco now.

This was probably the most disappointing restaurant I've been to in months. I had some sort of frozen beef burger covered in a sticky, sweet red wine sauce which had obviously been bought in (probably made by Tesco). My girlfreind had veal escalope which was woefully underseasoned and tough. Terrible, I'll never go back.

Having driven past this little Restaurant a hundres times, me and the Wife decided to stop and were glad we did.
Situated opposite the exit to Bruce Grove Station, San Marco is a cosy, attractive Italian Restaurant with a light, interesting interior and welcoming staff. The menu wasn't too big but gave a good selection of meat, fish and pasta dishes (no pizzas though) that were served surprisingly quickly and were very tasty.
In all we had two starters, main courses (with side orders), two deserts and a bottle of the house white for under £40 - astonishing value!
Were San Marco say in Stoke Newington or Crouch End, it would be booked up for weeks. Instead its in unfashionable Tottenham which is why I guess I drove past it for all those years! We'll certainly be back and hopefully enjoy it as much as we did on this occasion.
