Deep

I was fortunate enough to visit Deep just after it opened. The food was superb and the service we received was nothing short of exquisite. A wonderful place to eat, In beautiful surroundings,

The white linen chair and table covers and the excellent lighting gave the Deep a very comfortable feeling. I would recommend this restaurant to any one. Excellent value all round.

Despite its own website advertising it was open for Sunday lunch we arrived today to find the place shut. A frankly bizarre notice on the door advertised it being open for dinner on 17th and 19th September: a singularly useless piece of information given that today was 3rd October.

Has Deep sunk almost without trace? Is it occasionally open but only for money laundering or tax evasion purposes? Perhaps someone could let us know!

It is a peculiarity of Imperial Wharf generally that a matter of days after the opening of its shiny new state of the art station one finds the overwhelming majoity of its restaurants inexplicably shut. A commute to something of a ghost town gastronomically spekaing!
