I recently went to Jim Thompsons fora dinner party of apx 25 people. We were due to sit down for dinner at 8pm & we didnt sit until after 9.30pm as ur table wasnt ready. There wasnt enough staff on for a busy Saturday night & the service was extreamly extreamly slow. The atmosphere is lovely & ideally I think this place is more suitable for an intimate dinner. The food was lovely but some of the dishes were slower to arrive than others !

Its hard not to get too carried away after wandering into Jim Thompsons and imagine you have been transported to the far east.

The decor is exceptional and everything is for sale so, if you find yourself drawn to a particular artifact or sculpture it could be yours.

Considering the size of the venue and the huge group that followed us in, my date and i were seated at an intimate table away from anyone else in the restaurant.

Our waitress was very helpful and very nice bringing out our food in no time at all, diligently pouring wine when our glasses bordered on a half.

Now i could be naive to not assume that this tactic is employed to sell more booze but, after the third glass who cares.

We had whole battered crab and battered king prawns for starters which were both equally devine, the prawns were a parcel of flavour that exploded in your mouth.

For main we shared a Thai Green chicken curry which, yes is very boring but, a great way to tell how good a thai restaurant actually is. The portion was large and the noodles where in abundance but, not thick and heavy instead light and easily managable on top of what was a fantastic sauce. Not watery but just the right side of creamy to not be to heavy and yes this complimented the noodles well.

I would recommend this place to anyone and the cocktails are expertly made.

I'm surprised this place hasn't got more reviews. OK it's part of a small chain, but the decor at the Fulham branch is so impressive and the atmosphere so vibrant that it puts many of the restaurants in the locality to shame. I don't think I've ever been to this restaurant without it being more of less full, and considering the size of the venue that's no mean feat. We went on a wednesday night and I was very glad we had booked beforehand. The food is plentiful and is as good as any thai I've had with the exception of the Blue Elephant. The prices aren't cheap but it's by no means expensive either and there's a decent choice of wine. Service can occasionally be a bit surly, but they do leave a nice gap between starters and mains which isn't always the case in Thai restaurants. Overall this place is definitely recommended and deserves more plaudits. The best thing about it is that it is equally good for a quiet local meal out, for a celebration party with friends or for a romantic soiree.

Ok, so you get great Thai food in lots of pubs in London, but this one looks amazing. You walk into what looks like a normal pub on the outside, but once through to tbe back where restaurant is the lights go down, and there's tons of statues, leafy trees, and general thai objects, making it feel really authentic and like you've entered another land. The staff were really polite/friendly and let us sit there for ages after everyone had gone. Food was good - not as cheap as your 4 quid in a local pub kind of stuff, but still good value considering the setting. I had delicious food and so did everyone in my party - they do good set meals for big groups, with a great platter with a good mix of tasty options for starters. Great night all round.
