Food was OK, service was below average. Never had the opportunity to order a glas of wine (which I finally did after the meal, with my cheese dessert.
Main reason for dissatisfaction was the fact that they did not accept a credit card without chip/pin. The manager was called at the table, and after a 30 minutes discussion thet finally accepted the credit card.
Apparently a big misunderstanding in the UK - and not very friendly for oversees visitors: Yes, since February 14th, you need a PIN (in stead of signature) if you have a chip&pin card, however SIGNATURE is still accepted for cards without the chip (as most oversees visitors still have)

Service was absolutely appalling, I've never experienced anything like this. Food was served cold and had to be sent back, wine literally plonked onto the table, unfriendly staff and service seemed to disappear after the main course was served so no desert menu offered or after requests. Had to ask the staff if they were still serving!! Keep away.

Auberge is one my favourite bars, relaxed atmosphere, backround music, talkative staff, what else can you ask for.
I always enjoy coming back here.
Good place to have a dinner.
