I like to try alot of different curry houses from reviews but this was soo bad why does a vindaloo taste creamy like a korma? With no potatoes and the wait for food was diabolical. Would not go back if it was free!

How anyone can rate this restaurant 9 / 10 is beyond me. The service was appalling, the beer was warm, the waiters could barely understand us and my dish tasted noting like it should have, plus it was lukewarm after having waited over 40 minuets for it to arrive. As a curry fanatic i have eaten in many different restaurants around the UK and i can say that this was the worst restaurant i have ever eaten in and the whole experience was very disappointing.

Fantastic. Curries are original and superbly spiced, prices are very reasonable, staff very helpful. Cannot recommend enough!

This place is a gem. I've eaten there on four or five occasions, and every time has been terrific.
I can't do better than simply echo JonB's comment below on the food: "creative and distinctive while still being hearty in the way going for a curry should be". And the staff are lovely as well.
It's far and away the best Indian restaurant that I've been to in London, and it's well worth the trip to Turnpike Lane.

Incredible food. I think it's Nepalese which may explain the subtle differences to your normal curry house. Exquisit. Cannot speak highly enough

the food and service were very good. I am Indian so I know what I am talking about. My sister is a coconut but even she loved the food - in fact she could'nt get enough of eating out of the palm of her hand. The food is not greasy or overpowering.
The seasoning is subtle - this is not a comment that can often be made of Indian food. The wine was reasonably priced and very good. We were at our table for 2.5 hours on a saturday night and at no point felt rushed or under pressure to leave.

Although it's priced about the same as any decent curry house (and looks like one too), the food is on another level: creative and distinctive while still being hearty in the way going for a curry should be. Every dish I've had there tastes as though the flavours have been really thought about, and it's nicely served without being remotely prissy. Friendly service too.
