ASK (Finchley)

I used to go to ASK years ago and have been back once since the refit and I am very disappointed.

Firstly, despite never being more than 80% full you are often turned away at the door if you haven't booked

Secondly, when your waiter/waitress comes to the table to introduce them self, you are under the impression that they will be serving you all night...this is correct, unless a table bigger comes along, in which case you are ignored and have to flag down someone else

Thirdly, and must unfortunately, is the food. Whilst I accept the economic climate we are currently in, the best bits of the menu have been changed and replaced with poor, POOR alternatives...an example? One of ASK's signature and best dishes, Portobello mushrooms stuffed with breadcrumbs...has now been replaced by 2 diced mushrooms and topped with cubes of bread, all this, at a higher cost!

It's a shame things at ASK have gotten so bad, it used to be a great place to eat.
