ASK (Victoria)

My daughter and myself went to ASK Victoria, even after reading the comments on site. What I found was a nice surprise, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. Would most certainly there again.

The management have obviously taken on board the comments here. I went to this restaurant on Wednesday with my friend ahead of seeing Wicked. The waiters couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Service was a bit slow but it was very busy and we were in no rush. The waitress who took our credit card payment chatted whilst waiting for the payment to go through. The food was nice, just what I would have expected from this style of restaurant. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this branch of Ask and the staff were some of the best I've come across.

I agree with the other reviews about this restaurant. The service is terrible. Waiter didn't smile once and look annoyed at us the entire time we were there. We waited for about 45 minutes for our mains to arrive. The food was nothing to write home about. Would not recommend. There are lots of other decent restaurants in Victoria that I would recommend above this one. The only thing this place has going for it is the 2-4-1 offers it sometimes runs, but lots of other chains do similar offers as well so won't be going here again.

We regularly go to ASK Victoria and I have to say the service has become so bad that we absolutely refuse to go back. We had the food thrown down in front of us and plates for starters put in a pile while the staff walked away. The manager has an especially bad attitude and no sense of customer service. Our last meal there was Wed 25 Nov and we were horrified by the service especially since we had recommended it to be the ideal place to meet up with friends. Certainly won't be going back!!!

A group of us went to Ask on 3rd March. The restaurant wasn't busy, and it's now obvious why. We sat at our table, waiting for our order to be taken, for approaching 20 minutes. There were very few staff serving, and those that were did not appear interested in taking people's orders. You'd think in times of 'credit crunch', they would be interested in our good opinion and money, but obviously not. In the end, we gave up, without one of the three staff we passed on our way out querying why we were leaving, or even looking surprised. We went to the Bella Italia a few doors away, and we weren't the only ones The service was much better, and the waiter was interested in taking our order.

If you want a good meal in Victoria, don't go to Ask, there are so many better places to eat, with much better service.
