Unpleasant evening. We got billed too much. The manager said the only way to get the money back was to reclaim the waiter's tip.

I was at this restaurant and ask for pizza "picante". It was so terrible spiced that I couldn't eat it. Called manager and they didn't bother to acknowledge that I was misled. Not impressive with management response. Never again..

We tried Zizzi's on The Strand as a change from Pizza Express. The restaurant which is down a flight of steps, is very nice and atmospheric. We had some olives as a starter with 3 Arancini. We asked for these to share between four of us - so why bring 3?? portion control gone mad.

For the main course three of us ordered pizzas which sounded nice enough from the menu description. I ordered a Diavolo, I'm afraid to say it was the poorest pizza I have had for a long time sparsely topped and impossible to cut as it was so incredibly hard. My wife had a similar experience, very poor pizzas and not a patch on PIzza Express.

I have to say the service was excellent very friendly and attentive, but overall I was very dissapointed with the Zizzi experience.

the atmosphere is lovely and the food very good. In addition they have the most kind and attentive staff. I was looked after by a charming lady from Poland, Yagoda who took great pains to look after me as I was lunching alone

thank you all!

As a restaurant that is part of chain, it's not bad. The food is very fresh and is exactly what you would expect. The service was a bit slow, and there is often a queue if you haven't reserved in advance (so do book). In terms of pizza, I personally prefer Ask and Pizza Express. However, the atmosphere is great and you're unlikely to find groups of kids screaming, which is bonus. Dessert is nice and the staff are kind enough to find a candle to put in my friend's cake for her birthday!

Seated at 20.20, sitting with menu's. No one came to take our order till 20:45. Despite the tables around us already having their food so not exactly rushed off their feet.

Other people were seated and served before us - annoying and how rude.

By 20.51 we finally got drinks - only after asking why we were being ignored? Over half and hour to get a drink?

Starters were nice but the pizza? cold and I ordered a mushroom pizza - it had 7 slices of mushroom on it. which made it looked stingy! Pizza was VERY hard. I gave up sawing it with the knife - and started tearing at it with my fingers. Left most of it - waiter just didn't care. Asked if we wanted coffee, puddings? We said no thanks - another 15 min. wait for the bill - only after going up to staff to get it.

Bad, bad service and the pizza wasn't that much in front of the service! Avoid.

A very popular choice on a friday night. I got there at about 530pm and by the time i left around 630pm there was a long queue of people waiting to be seated- so book in advance if you really want to eat here.

The food was really tasty and didn't take too long/too short a time to be prepared. The menu has a lot of variety.

The service was really good, with the waiter having a good knowledge of the dishes on it and offering to replace my calzone because I found it to be a bit too spicy for my liking!

The decor is really nice and cosy and the only criticism I would have is that the tables are a little too close together, especially on the sofa seats where I was sat a bit too close to a stranger for my liking and as they were in the corner of the sofa, they looked rather trapped in and would have had to disturb my table had they wanted to get up.

But overall, a great place to eat.
