I went here last Friday for a nice dinner with friends. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the expectations. There was almost noone in the restaurant (even though we went at 7 pm), the staff was constantly talking to each other behind the bar and we were surprised to find that with EVERY dish we had to remind someone that we would like to order, we were finished eating, we would like to order another drink, we would like to see the dessert menu, we would like to order a dessert, we would like to pay. The staff did not seem engaged at all and didn't seem to care about the customer. The food is good value for money though I wouldn't recommend the ravioli with goat cheese. That being said, the dessert and antipasti was quite tasty.
I will not be returning to Zizzi and would not recommend anyone to go there unless you want a cheap meal and don't expect any customer service.

Don't judge this local Italian restaurant by it's past reviews. I had the pleasure of attending the relaunch of this stylishly refurbished restaurant and was not disapponted.
The menu had lots to offer from authentic Italian starters like calamari and tricolore salad, I chose the arancini balls which were delicious and went on to try one of the specials as my main, the Fettucine n'Duja which was one of the best pastas I've had in a long time. A generous sized portion and the ingredients tasted so fresh, the Italian sausage in it had a real kick. For dessert I stuck with Tiramasu which was as good if not better than any I've had before.
Excellent value. Highly recommend.

Having a shocking experience at a restaurant is one thing. Thats why i decided to approach them in a very polite manner just raising my concerns about the way this specific site has been managed. One of their ops directors got back to me shortly assuring me how important my feedback was to them etc. I honestly didnt write to them to try to get a free meal out of it and I initially refused to accept his offer to invite me back for a meal.
Then he used all the right words saying this isnt because I had a bad experience but his way of saying thank you for the valid observations I made.
One week later I received a letter with 2 vouchers each worth £5.
Great, not only I will never return but now I feel truly insulted and I am sure a lot of you will understand why.

"Zizzi is a no no"
I ate at Zizzi's last night...and regretted it. Having been once before to another branch and been served king prawns which were completely overcooked to the point where they were inedible, I was prepared to give them another chance. Suffice to say I won't be doing it again!
My bruschetta starter was ok, if a little amateur - I'm used to the tomatoes being chopped up properly rather than just in halves. However, the real issue was the pizza, which was clearly the victim of severe corporate cost-cutting. I had ordered the chicken, rosemary and goats cheese pizza - what I actually got was pizza base, tomato paste, and that's pretty much it! There was one blob of goats cheese in the middle and five very tiny lumps of chicken surrounding it, garnished with a single sprig of rosemary in the middle. It reminded me from something out of the last season of The Apprentice, towards the end when they were running out of ingredients. It really was embarrassingly bad. I sent it back, and the chicken to pizza base ratio increased very slightly, but sadly the taste was still bland and uninspiring.
Verdict? *not impressed* - Zizzi is a no no.
