I’ve been in a few Giraffes around London. It’s a chain of restaurants going through identity crises! Lol… What a mess of a place. What do they want to be? A Café? A kindergarten? A cocktail bar? Do they want make up their minds or what??
Food: Not exactly healthy… Some dishes are ok, like burgers, or fried eggs… well, you can’t go wrong with that, but avoid stir fries and Asian noodle dishes!
Coffee: They seem to have an obsession with it. Frankly, it’s not nice. It’s always sort of bitter regardless the amounts of sugar you put in it!
Atmosphere: if you like screaming children, food on the floor, balloons, arrogant mums trying to push their way in with their prams… it’s the place for you.
Staff: Giraffe obviously lacks an efficient training system. Potentially they are nice people, but it seems that the management failed to bring out what’s good in them.
I can’t think of an occasion I would recommend Giraffe for. Certainly not for a date, not for a business lunch, not for a drink…

The food was pretty good as a hangover cure. Can't go wrong with eggs, i suppose. But i was disappointed with the service: we were kept waiting for 10 minutes in the doorway, even though there were a number of tables for tewo people set up and ready to go. I wanted a minor substitution in my order - veggie sausage in place of regular sausage. So i was surprised to be met with arguing and pleas that the dish had been pre-prepared earlier. it came with the veggie sausage, for which i was charged extra, although there had clearly been no issue with the substitution. I'll be looking for somewhere else next time.

100% ,without a shadow of a doubt the best place in Chiswick for a cooked breakfast!
Quality produce, well cooked and even delicious condiments to go with it!
Friendly staff and good surroundings make for an essential 'hang over cure' outing!
