Awful service, the waitress was rude and unhelpful. She hurried us along so that she could seat her boyfriend and his friend. When we didn't hurry, her boyfriend and his friend looked at me funny and starred at me as I walked out of the restaurant. Entirely unprofessional and inappropriate, and the food was unsatsfactory. Do not eat here.

Me and my friend decided to go for something to eat and being italian myself we opted for Prezzo in Kensington. It felt a bit weird entering an empty restaurant but we were hungry and decided to stay anyway. I ordered a carni piccanti calzoni, my friend a four cheeses pizza and we shared a portion of chips. When the food arrived just after 5 minutes we sat I noticed the chips were still cold (obviously coming from a frozen pack) and soggy. I sent them back and started to eat the calzone while my friend was complaining of her pizza being cold too. I cut through the margin of the calzone to discover a big uncooked dough with no filling in it. The tomato sauce or passata was set apart, which I found it strange and no typical of Italian calzone, and surprisingly cold (again). I then open it to see if it had any content to reveal two meat balls that resembled dog food, few dry chicken pieces and no cheese. I don't know where the chef had to be blame for most of the food being cold but I think this chain should review all of their menu.
Upset and still hungry I sent it back paid for my friend pizza and promise myself to stay away from Prezzo.

Prezzo Kensington London W8 website states reservations up to 2230 every night,
this changes to 2200 on Sunday - still plenty of time for a concert which finishes at the Royal Albert Hall at 2130, so Ieft a contact no. and (stupidly I later found out) told them we MIGHT arrive at 2145.
We arrived at 2154 to be told we were 9 minutes LATE and the chef had already gone. I told them our reservation was for 2200 and was told it was for 2145, realising these people did not want our custom we left and my friend asked why didn't someone call him to which there was no reply.
We went literally next door to another Italian restaurant who thought we were crazy asking if we could have a table at 2158, these people gave us a fabulous meal and we quickly forgot about the nasty experience next door.
I noticed more people came in after us than I had seen in total at Prezzo.
I emailed Prezzo head office next morning asking if Kensington was managed by them or a franchise, that was a week ago and I am still waiting for a reply, why am I not surprised.

A colleague and I visited Prezzo, South Kensington today for lunch. we opted for the salmon and avocado salad. Unfortunately the salad was smothered in a very sickly lime and lemon dressing. This overpowered the flavour of the other ingredients to such an extent that my companion was unable to finish it. We did complain to the waitress and suggested that the dressing could be provided on the side but were told that is how it comes. There were only two young female waiting staff on duty who were doing their best but under enormous pressure of work. Prezzo you should do better.
