Blue Ginger Bar Restaurant

Ive been to BJ three times till now and will always say this is a superb bar/restaurant. Their mixed platter is a boon for parties and tastes quite well. Their starters are top notch (8/10). Main courses are good (7/10), Desserts good taste but a small variety (8/10). It can be a bit pricey if you drink a lot (5/10). Overall, the ambience is great and can be a perfect venue for small office parties.

I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who likes good food coupled with great ambience.

A beutiful place packed out with really nice people and the atmosphere is great. If your looking for a great night out this is the place to go. It is set in a lovely area and the food is fabulous.

Blue Ginger serves some of the best Indian Chinese fusion food I've had in London. And their cocktails and "mocktails" are all so good it's hard to choose between them! Love the atmosphere, and particularly nice is eating in the comfy leather seats upstairs from the bar where it's relaxed and you can take your time over a meal in total comfort!

We went to this place on Friday because we had heard a lot about this restaurant. We were impressed with the ambiance and the décor. But, that’s where it all ended. There are no decent parking facilities. Though we had booked a table, we were sitted right in front of the bar on a small sofa with a low tabel and was very uncomfortable eating. The food was hurriedly prepared. Luckily we only ordered starters as we were very disappointed. We ordered Chilli Paneer, Chilli Garlic Paneer & Crispy Chilli Potatoes. The sauces for all 3 were the same in taste, the potatoes were not crispy at all & were literally taken out of a tin & dipped in chilli sauce. All in all we were very disappointed that we decided to go to our regular - Papa J's for the rest of the evening

a few friends and myself visited here... parking is really off putting and the fact that as a customer you are trying to be courteous and call in and letting them know that you are here but cant get parking is not APPRECIATED! the girls in there walk around as if they are doing you a favour by letting you in!. The waiters need deodrant because as they lean over you - you want to keel over with what you have just inhaled! The food was nice but it goes to waste if the service is not good and that is the problem here - puts me off from going there.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant. All fairly good things except that it was over priced. I must say I was impressed with the ambiance and the décor. Sadly, that’s where it all ended. For a start there are no decent parking facilities. Though we had taken the precaution of booking a table, it took over an hour. The food was hurriedly prepared. We had the mixed grill and fish masala. Both turned out to be very disappointing. It was clear the kebabs were cooked very quickly – charred on the outside, underdone on the inside and the fish had a look and taste of staleness about it – I must say the taste and flavour of the mixed grill was great. I suppose with the long queues outside speed is more important than cooking the food properly. Main course - was bland and disappointing except the methi chicken which was good. Again I would put this down to the management putting more emphasis on speed than quality. I am sure they are capable of turning out more flavoursome dishes.

All in all, for the price, I would expect a decent parking place, shorter waiting time, properly cooked food and personally I prefer not to have sports blaring out on the TV screens (all around) when I am dining out! Shame – it would be worth paying the extra if the food was prepared properly.

Food is always lovely. Shame about the service. Food delivery time was not so great, but worth the wait. Atmosphere was good, mixture of young & old.
