Upon our entrance the staff seemed to regard us with utter contempt for not booking a table, despite the apparent lack of customers. This, coupled with their security guard instructing me to park in a space my car quite blatantly wasn't going to fit into, gave an immediate impression of careless service. We were, however, quickly seated in one of the numerous empty tables.
The restaurant section of Blue Ginger is very well decorated: it feels like a city luncher as opposed to a revamped pub. The seats themselves are comfortable, although couples have to make do with backless stools, apparently left over from the building's pub days.
The starters were nothing short of delicious, especially the Chilli Paneer and Garlic Paneers. Portion sizes are reasonably generous, but if you don't recognise some of the names on the menu it's an utter waste of time asking the staff, who seem expert only in refilling pint glasses milliseconds after the final sip.
The main courses were rather disappointing, with poor quality meat and superfluously sweet sauces. The bill was more than I expected, and it certainly isn't worth the extra in comparison to local rivals - that is, unless you thing a resteraunt's decor is more important than the food. The waiter's tactless hints that I should give a tip were decidedly ignored.

friends and i went on a Saturday night. very nice warming venue, with the right ambience and aura for evening out with friends, family, or for a party or couple event.
The Seating arrangment, facilites are comfortable and adeqate for the evening Food was fresh, tasty lots of varites to cater for veg and non-veg, and well presented by the friendly staff, who are very well organised and have controll over each table needs.
A place where i would strongly recommend for a great evening.

We had a booking for 7pm and turned up at 6:50, but because we were waiting for a few more of our family, we asked if we could sit down at 7:30, only to be told that we would have to finish eating and leave by 8pm as another booking was made for 8pm! This is the first time I've seen such a thing in a restaurant. We then ended up going to a nice restaurant in Southall and enjoyed our dinner till 10pm!

This place is a big joke, whats with the time limits on the table. We were rushed, the food is not good, service is the worse I have ever had.
Why spend all that time making the place look posh, when the service and food looks like it should be in a greasy cafe.

Ive been to BJ three times till now and will always say this is a superb bar/restaurant. Their mixed platter is a boon for parties and tastes quite well. Their starters are top notch (8/10). Main courses are good (7/10), Desserts good taste but a small variety (8/10). It can be a bit pricey if you drink a lot (5/10). Overall, the ambience is great and can be a perfect venue for small office parties.
I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who likes good food coupled with great ambience.

Blue Ginger serves some of the best Indian Chinese fusion food I've had in London. And their cocktails and "mocktails" are all so good it's hard to choose between them! Love the atmosphere, and particularly nice is eating in the comfy leather seats upstairs from the bar where it's relaxed and you can take your time over a meal in total comfort!

We went to this place on Friday because we had heard a lot about this restaurant. We were impressed with the ambiance and the décor. But, that’s where it all ended. There are no decent parking facilities. Though we had booked a table, we were sitted right in front of the bar on a small sofa with a low tabel and was very uncomfortable eating. The food was hurriedly prepared. Luckily we only ordered starters as we were very disappointed. We ordered Chilli Paneer, Chilli Garlic Paneer & Crispy Chilli Potatoes. The sauces for all 3 were the same in taste, the potatoes were not crispy at all & were literally taken out of a tin & dipped in chilli sauce. All in all we were very disappointed that we decided to go to our regular - Papa J's for the rest of the evening
