Blue Ginger Bar Restaurant

Well the customer service was great at Blue ginger.. We went quite late but we were accomadated for. We ordered a number of different starters mixed bhajia and paneer for the veggies and non veg lamp chops and jeera chicken. The lamb was badly cooked and the chicken was vile.. The veggies seemed to be enjoying their food well apart from the paneer which was just paneer chunks and a very sour sauce... It was horrible with a nasty after taste. We then ordered main which was prawns, chicken birayana and talka daar.. Everybody had one bite and left the rest of the food. We then ordered dessert which was Ras Malai and that was basically ras malai with added milk and all you could taste was semi skimmed milk. The bill came and it was £89 WHAT AN OUTRAGE!!! Day light robbery... My family and I live in Harrow and dine in very good and tasty indian restauraunts such as Ruby M's, Curry Mahal, Club 2000, Regency, Jaffalong etc...

I cant believe how busy the restaurant was especially as the food is appaulling..

Even I could cook better indian food and i know nothing about indian cuisine..

Never again!!!

We went to this restaurant recently , after hearing a lot about it. We were extremely disappointed.

We ordered our food & drinks which included a Larger shandy. When the shandy came it was flat, we tried to get the attention of a waiter and after 10 minutes he came over and we asked him to change the drink. He went over to the bar and came back with the same glass and a spoon. He then started tapping the glass with the spoon and pointing out the a couple of bubbles to us stating that it was not flat as there were bubbles!!!!!

We were shocked at this. We asked to speak to the manager but no one came over. When the food came it, we found it be very bland and under cooked. all the food came at different times and as we had just finished, the popodoms came!!!

I really do not recommend this restaurant to anyone; the food is bad, the drinks are worse, and the service is non-existent.

If however you do go make sure you take a spoon with you to make sure the drinks aren't flat!!!

Food is excellent, with varied menu. Ambience better than the average Indian resto. Lively, especially at weekends and match times. Little pricey. We go there often when we're too tired to cook! Be sure to reserve at popular times, otherwise it's a long wait.

When i went there with my family we had such a good time.

Food was brilliant, not too spicy just perfect

Service was Excellent,

Atmosphere Great, nice TV's :P

Value For Money 100% sometimes pricey but worth it !!!

We went there for food and drinks... started with alcoholic drinks....double shots of JD and double shots of Bacardi...did not taste like double shots, infect not even a half shot....management gave us so much grief for a refund...and finally gave refund after mentioning the words "we'll approach trading standards"

Never bother to stat there and try out their food after their dodgy drinks experience...

In other words, try their drinks out only if you don't want to get drunk with lots of shots...

Have been there twice now and disappointed each time as i had heard rave reviews from the 'blue ginger fan club' - this has to comprise of people who have not eaten good food before. Enough said about the food; for a Monday night we were made to wait 2 hours for a table, an obvious ploy to ensure we kept ordering more drinks, and when we asked if we could at least order the starters at the coffee table we were waiting at, we were told no this was not possible! As on each visit we had taken business clients and the cheque each time came to over £300, it was definitely not money well spent! You cannot eat good decor!

I went there apparently - twice. At least my credit card has for at least £500 each visit.

Glad to know that the staff are so vigilant when dealing with these transactions - not.

Had gone to Blue Ginger with a lot of expectations as people have raved about the place. However, after eating there, I have never had such below average chinese anywhere. The food was very oily, the portions extremely small and the service a bit slow.

For the money that is charged, the is food is not up to the quality absolute though the decor is very appealing. The place is clean but overall, would put it below average.
