Decor, music and food not the best, but the beer and the staff are what make this place. Margot, Riccardo, Guillaume, Adam and the Czech manager are likeable characters who are always friendly and helpful, None are Belgian but the multinational staff are the people who make this a place worth visiting.

Ten of us went there for a friends birthday on Saturday night. Arrived at 8pm and the restaurant was not at all busy. Everything went well until we got the food. I ordererd goats cheese on bruschetta.....got chive Philadelphia on two pretty sad bits of burnt bread. Cold of course. Looked like it had been sat in the kitchen for a while. At £6 thought it was not on. At least I got my food. Two of our party got theirs 10 minutes later.
As we were finishing up the waitress insisted on clearing plates while people were still eating; asked if it would be alright to wait while we finished she said "No". No expalantion. I ordered a beer while waiting for my main course. And then I asked again, and again, and again. Seems I was fourth time lucky as it did finally arrive but just as I finished my food. Ordered Moules for mains. 3/4 were empty. Will not be going back.

We were at Belgo's on a bust Thursday night with a group of 12 for a booked meal. The manager Gomes was fabulous. he verified our menus and ensured we were happy with the table arrangements. The staff were so very helpful throughout the evening. The food was excellent from the Beat the Clock menu for the main course all freshly cooked and the desserts were equally as good. We recommend the house red and white wine which complemented our meal nicely. Altogether a very pleasant evening and very helpful staff.

Four of us went to Belgo's last night; it was sort of a special occasion, since we had a a friend visiting from abroad and having previously been to the original Belgo's in Covent Garden we were looking forward to great food and of course beer!
After sitting down we quickly decided we wanted to go for a few drinks; all we asked were that these were brought to us first-but the waitress refused to take our order until we had a full order or some other garbled 'reason' she gave us. By the way, the restaurant was only half full and so not that busy at all. (Basic tip to restaurant manager: when the customer orders food-you take down his request and bring him the food or drink; it's really that simple!)
And then...at least 15 minutes of struggling to catch the totally inattentive and aloof staff and being ignored and rudely waved-off. Our "crime"? Trying to order. How can we eat if you won't take the order and Belgo's how will you make money if you don't actually serve the customers?
Finally I just got up...surprise, surprise-the waitress appeared to take our order. But we had had enough and left.
Thank you Belgo's for a terrible experience; you really need to improve your waiting staff's lack of service as they are letting down the restaurant badly. Also where was the manager-your job is customer satisfaction remember? Finally, if you want a good Belgo's experience, forget it-it doesn't exist!

Six of us went here on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was three quarters full so you would have thought the service would at least be OK. But no, It was very poor. We don't mind slow service as we always enjoy the evening at a slow pace to allow for good conversation. The service was inattentive to the point where you might think the staff had gone home. One of the starters was so late it must have been forgotten, then we were asked if we would like a sweet or coffee? No! actually we'd like our main courses now please! It's a shame because the staff are friendly when you speak to them and the food is excellent. The bill came with a 12.5% service automatically added, we asked this to be removed which they did immediatley with apologies. We left a small tip as the food was very good and we're not mean diners but adding an automatic service only works if good service is automatic.
