David Britton at The Cavendish London

The staff were extremely patient with us when our meal lasted for two and a half hours and were the last to leave the lunch sitting.,due to our party of four enjoying ourselves so much Our gluten-free diner was advised by the chef as to her choice which didn't exclude much at all.She ate as well as the rest of us,apart from herb dumplings (shame!) The food was delightfully British ,fresh, hot and attractive .The waitress encouraged us when we swapped morsels of food between us to try out. We had a good table overlooking Fortnum and Mason which made for interesting people-watching.There was a baby grand piano sitting outside the room doing nothing, such a shame: perhaps a little live background music would have enhanced the meal even more. Dining room attractive and bright.Putting our pennies away to visit again next year..

David Britton at the Cavendish was an enjoyable dining experience- the service was friendly and helpful, particularly when I told them of my nut allergy and they checked the ingredients for me with no hestitation. The food was delicious and the decor beautiful. Both of us would eat there again and highly recommend it to others.
