Mr Fish
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
I went to Mr. Fish a few months ago after looking around all night for a f and c shop in Bayswater. I was quite disappointed.
I come from Australia and I live near the beach where we get delicious fresh fish. The fish at mr. fish wasn't great but if you were hungry, it would be fantastic as the portions are huge. Maybe don't sit down there, have it take away and eat it in your hotel room or in a park- more genuine.

Excellent restaurant. It catered for our group of 36 excellently and provided great value for money. Everyone enjoyed the meal and cleared as much of their plate as they could. The staff were extremely friendly and aimed to please. They even provided goody bags for the children. I'd definitely eat here again.

Tom S must have had a brainstorm or visited some other restaurant to write the review. My friends think that this is one of the best Fish & Chips that we have had anywhere. To add to this, the service is always very friendly and the prices are so reasonable.
The above review does a disservice to a very splendid restaurant. One should note that it is in stark contrast to all the other reviews !

Below average fish and chip restaurant. Overpriced, mean portions, poor fish taste, disappointing batter. It's always empty which is a clue. Avoid. Makes me wonder who is giving this place such excellent reviews...

Lovely fish & chips - I especially recommend the fish fried in matzo meal - far nicer than batter! The decor is quite sweet but when we went on a friday evening we were more or less the only people there. I'd go again if I was passing by and needed a quick refuel but it certainly hasn't got the atmosphere for a longer stay.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to in London. Yes, it is not The Ivy, but the service is brilliant an the food was really out of this world. It is VERY cheap and our waitress was the friendliest I have ever met. This is a restauarant which sells "typical" British cuisine, but it is clean and the staff (they are foreign) are proud to be there. No wonder it does so well. 10 out of 10!

If Mr Fish offered oysters and champagne, had a more up market décor, had a fresh fish counter at the front and served something better than that awful commercial tartare sauce that tastes of car battery acid and looks as if it has a few dried grass clippings dropped in for luck this would be one of the very best fish and chip shop in London. It is anyway head and shoulders above the more famous but overrated fish and chip establishments to which tourists and residents unwittingly flock. At Mr Fish on Porchester Road opposite Budgens and in the other branch in Queens Park the fish and chips are beautifully cooked to order and pleasantly served. To top it all the prices are extremely reasonable, offering one of the best culinary bargains in London today.
This place remains largely undiscovered but is really very good.

I've been in this very typical Fish&Chips to have a quick diner. I was surprised: very cheap, very clean, good quality food.
It's a very simple restaurant and the waitress was great! So kind and smiling, and at the end of our diner she offered us two cups of coffe for free.
Here I had the chance to discover the real british life!
