Lotus Room

The atmosphere is, I'm afraid, a little dead with the blue lighting and and the fact that the room is so open. The food, however, is very good. The menu is fairly wide and varied with all the standard favourites on there as well. The service was fine although, it has been improved since the my last visit. Over all, I would strongly recommend the restaurant for its food, but I'd say that the place itself is not the best.

Lotus Room has not been on the best in both food and service during the past 2 years. The popularity of the restaurant has dipped sharply since my last review.

Food has improved greatly over the past month compared to previous visits but the constant change in staff (who still have little to no knowledge of service along with poor English and inability to open wine) and the rather empty restaurants on most days has affected what was once a fantastic restaurant quite badly. The non-existant atmosphere isn't helped by the poor choice of music on many occasions, sometimes there is no music at all. The only service you do get is when the manager goes around talking to customers, usually regulars.

The food and price is good for this region but until the service is improved, it's hard to recommend this restaurant. House wine has been changed and isn't great, you need to pay that bit more to get a decent wine. Desserts however are fantastic as usual.

Absolutely no atmosphere to start. The place has the cheapest decor in a spacy room that feels more like your in an Old Age Pensioners home. The inside lighting has got this UV Light Trap for flies feel about it. The music will make you wanna top youself by the end of your meal.

Food is no better than you bog standard chinese takeaway. A glass of poor red wine in the cheapest glass served. A flat Cola.

Staff weren't the most efficient at serving. For a restaurant you'd think thats a bit of a must!

When i recieved the bill (written in Chinese....i'm guessing) no reference had been made to the fact that service had been included. Yet they still indicated tip to be made when paying by card on the chip and pin machine.

Thats the squeeze. I've never written a review online before but i gotta stop you folks having a dire evening. I definatley advise you go elsewhere!

a gr8 resturant, with friendly and caring staff, with a fast and speedy delevery. But best of all the food is delicious. good value for money and good atmosphere in the restuarnt and it is easily located.

I visited the restaurant with many friends and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The presentation of the food was fantastic and we all had a really good time.

I would definitely recommend the restaurant to friends and family for its fine cuisine.
