Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately approached and greeted by friendly members of staff who were formally dressed in a waiter’s attire. The restaurant itself is very spacious and atmospheric yet cosy, with candle-lit tables (perfect for a first dates). The décor is tastefully done with wooden flooring, neutral in colour, and there is a winding staircase leading up to a more secluded dining area, (perfect for private parties and corporate dinners). (One could almost forget they are in Mile end). We came from Canary Wharf, which is tens mins by taxi).

They had an extensive menu. I opted for the Dover-sole which was very impressive. Everything freshly prepared with generous portions. And the desserts were to die for.

The prices are reasonable with surcharge inclusive. We even spotted one or two famous faces from Eastenders. Apparently, posh spice’s parents were also there.
