Top Marks! for a fantastic restaurant, .
From the time we arrived to the time we left the service was excellent and very professional not at all intrusive. The food was also excellent, very fresh, from our starter to our main meal
We didn't have to wait long to be served even though the restaurent was full, we wasn't rushed, .And to our surprise it was cheap. And to round it all off there was Live entertainment later part of the evening, didn't want to home!
I will certainly be back.

Not impressed - a comedy interior is no substitute for decent service and food. In a location that offers great Turkish food this place really needs to raise its game. We sat and waited at least 20/30 minutes before a drinks order was taken and the same again prior to our food order being taken. The wait for food was ludicrously long - especially as (i) the restaurant wasn't busy; and (ii) it was pretty poor when it did turn up. I complained about the length of time we were being made to wait and this was met with confusion from one waiter who couldn't speak English; and a sullen "it takes more than 20 minutes to cook" from the waiter who eventually plonked our plates in front of us. The food is definately cheap but unfortunately it's also poor quality and some dishes looked like they'd been taken straight from the microwave. Again in an area that specialises in good quality, reasonably priced Turkish food this place is going to stay pretty empty unless the food and the service improve.

We can't recommend this place highly enough. With regards to the previous review, if you fancy a vegetarian lasagna, you're probably in the wrong restaurant.
We love the Iskender kebab and the Turlu Tava is simply delicious. The tabuleh is a tasty side order and the hot bread and dips are scrumptious. We live in the area and have tried many of the restaurants along Kingsland road and this is by far the best. The staff are incredibly friendly and the great live music from 10pm is always a treat. Go for the atmosphere alone.

We opted for the £7.90 three-course dinner: starters of mixed meze were good, the vegetarian lasagne was abysmal (too sweet & articifical, not enough vegetables, too much gooey sauce; hardly any better than a microwave lasagne!), although the lamb kebab was ok. We were looking forward to a Turkish tea after dinner but were served a milky English breakfast tea- hardly what you would expect in a Turkish restaurant!
The staff were friendly and attentive, however.

I went to Stone cave last week, the decor is wicked think fibreglass cave with tassles and fountains. The staff were friendly and attentive, the turkish house wine went down a treat.
I am a vegetarian and really enjoyed the mixed mezze starter, and falafel main, with amazing tomato salsa/salad, The stews are incredibly light, fresh and spicy.
To top it all, the bill for 4 people having starters, mains and 2 bottles of wine was £60. Definitely a gem in Dalston, and beats the pants off the LMNT. I would recommend it also as somewhere that would cater well for larger groups because of the great decor and atmosphere.
