My partner took me here for our anniversary. We were very disappointed by the food- it was overly expensive, we were given laughably tiny portions and it was bland. The service wasn't much better. Waiting staff shoved us into a cramped corner, were abrupt and forgot our requests for drinks. I would definitely not recommend anyone dine here. It is far too expensive and we didn't appreciate their booking system whereby they try to hurry you out as soon as you finish eating in order to get the next lot of customers in. This is not an enjoyable dining experience. If you are really into Thai food, go to Nid Tang- possibly the best in London.

Excellent Thai food found here. Our party started with the the papaya spring rolls (fried) and the chicken satay with peanut sauce. The spring rolls were lacked depth beyond tasty friedness but the chicken satay with peanut sauce really sung. The mussel curry was mildly spiced with tender, delicious mussels. The cucumber prawn fried rice was fine but nothing extraordinary and the cucumber influence limited to two pieces next to the rice. Vegetable green curry was excellent but packs a surprising (no mention on the menu) spicy punch. Beer Chiang was tasty and went well with the food. The service was good. 47 pounds (including service) for three people with 2 starters, 3 mains, 2 rices, 2 beers, 1 tea and a bottle of still water.

A true Ying and Yang experience! Food wise - meaning the Ying-part - it was an extraordinary, very delicious (aroy maak maak!!!), authentic Thai experience. But the service/Yang: Iiish, what a pity. Becoming a waitress in the UK should not have been her choice of profession. She unfortunately couldn’t understand a word of English and after the fourth attempt we finally got one glass of wine...and that’s only how the evening started. After our fourth party had to leave the restaurant a bit earlier than the rest of us, she started to refill his glass. We told her that he’d already left, she replied: I can’t left. We really had to work hard for a basic level of service. We mentioned the weak service to the manager and he didn’t seem to be surprised at all and more than happily deducted the 12.5% service charge from our bill in the end. Another member of staff gave us a TOP TIP: If you book in advance ask for a table in the back of the restaurant, where the more trained, Thai staffs are serving.

We are looking forward to come back for the yummy, yummy food!!! And next time round the experience up with quality service!!!

I went to this restaurant based on the reviews I read on this site. It was a first date, we were sat just infront of the toilets, my date facing the toilet door. My My chair was next to the corner of the bar (close to the entrance) so everyone (staff and customers) were pushing past my chair the whole evening. Waitresses constantly harrassing us to order and finish and eventually refused us desert because the time had expired on the table (you can only have a table for two hours on a Saturday night). We had to go somewhere else for desert. Will not be returning. God knows how my date agreed to go out with me again. ps. Food we did have was tasty.

definitely worth a visit if you fancy good quality, imaginative thai food that is more of a substantial meal than nibbles with cocktails. i recommend the monkfish green curry and the garlic king prawns. nothing but the highest praise for the food and service. if i was being picky, the seats are slightly too close together for comfort - it's not a place to go for a romantic dinner.

What a plesant surprise! Everything is perfect at this restaurant from food, service, decor, presentation, value for money and so on. Definitely one of the best in Islington, can't wait to go back again.

I came to this restaurant because I read the review in Time Out and was intrigued to find out that this was the sister of Alan Yau of Hakkasan, Yauchata, and Busaba Eathai.

The interior decoration is really special and unique. The service is good if you ask the thai waitresses and avoid the scandinavian ones.

I enjoyed the food. Portions are smallish but the ingredients seem to be good. I enjoyed the soft shell crab and the shrimp red curry. Oh and they to a great spicy tom yum soup. Worth trying out!
