Don't get me wrong we eat in nice restaurants often enough to know what you get for your money & this was a total rip off !

I could have cooked meals better myself at home, We had the Menu Prestige with six course meals , starter was a fennel and prawn soup with cream (average and eatble because anything goes with cream ) ,ravioli lobster could have been good but the sauce was way to salted (like all the sauces and the soup) and not tasty at all , the rest was too bad to bother to describe , I even left part of my main course in the plate : roasted pork belly . , the service was overall good and efficient , but that is not what I come for when I do in a star michelin rewarded restaurant !!!

to make the long story short : Gastro pub are better than this restaurant ! and better value for money . If you are a fine gastronome don't bother your time, money and mouth !

If you are a novice maybe it will blow your palate and as well your wallet !!!!!!

For the record all the excellent critics I saw were mostly about the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff , but what about the food ?? I agree service must be good but FOOD should be the center of the attention when it comes to review such restaurants !

Gordon ramsay should have more attention to his kitchens than the hell's ones !

I must say for the price you pay you expect more! The food was good but nothing special. I loved the desserts but the starter and the main were just ok.

The service was excellent but there was a strange arrangment with the waiters that made me feel uncomfortable. The black staff were not serving food they were just standing with the plates on a trail and the white staff would serve the plates on the table!! it was wierd and unpleasant.

Although I had a good experience I will never go back there.

I'm extremly happy to be writing this review as for as long as I can remember (or at least since becoming a chef myself) I have wished to dine in a restaurant as high status at Gordon Ramseys at Claridges and I can say hand on heart it was one of the best times ever!!!! Myself, my husband and two children (Isaac 10 and Alfie 7) had been booked in for lunch as a special suprise organised by my husband (Lex) on a trip to London in the February half term. As it was a suprise I had no suitable clothes with me so of course a double bonus was a new outfit which would be suitable!! We were made so welcome by all the staff from the moment we entered the hotel and then, wow, into the restaurant! It blew all four of us away! The staff were really accomodating and helped our boys in choosing a suitable dish that they would enjoy and myself and Lex were overwhelmed at the menu and were completly unable to choose from all of the mouthwatering choices so I chose his and he chose mine! Though I dont expect for a minute that any of the dishes would have been any thing less than fantastic! To make my visit even more special Lex asked if we could take a look in the kitchen and meet the chefs. My very favourite part of the whole dining experience! We were shown into the kitchens by a fantastic gentleman (Julienne, so very sorry if I have the name or spelling wrong) and were met by the most lovely staff and chefs who couldn't have made us ALL feel more welcome. Pastry department, starters deparment (my childrens personal favorite as shouting SERVICE as dishes were layed out ready to go out from the pass was a massive hit!), and allowed tiny balls of ice cream melt in their mouth while we chatted with the rest of the staff and the very excellent Scott in the main area ( please forgive me again if I have anyone's name wrong). Even into the wine cellar where once again we were given the greatest explenation of anything we wanted to know. FANTASTIC!!!

Not once did I have to remind my children to behave - a real show of how entertained and happy they were (believe me shen I say that does not happen very often!!)

It was allover to soon and leaving was the most awful part of my wonderful experience. (Although even then the hotel staff were friendly and gracious and happy to invite us all back some day).

Thankyou so very very much all to all of you from all of us. (Though my eldest son on his first day back to school did inform me that he couldn't wait to get to school to tell all his mates he'd been to Gordon Ramseys Cafe for lunch!!!)

I really hope that I will be back.

I came here on a date and we both loved the food. It was the start of a very good relationship both with my boyfriend and your restaurant.

Everything about the restaurant was amazing, the staff were so friendly and helpful always there making sure that you had everything you needed, not only this but the food was faultless and the decor absolutley beautiful.

My boyfiend and I went for our anniersary so at the end of our meal they brought out a plate with a miniture cake on and had written happy anniversary in chocolate, they also took us through to see the kitchens as it was aspecial occasion. Unfortunatley e didnt get to see Gordon but the food and the service was that good iI didnt mind too much!!!

I would definatley reccomend this restaurant, it realy is the best i have ever been too. Also, if you are looking for somewhere to stay nearby the Millenium hotel is located overlooking Grosvenor Square and is just a couple of minutes from claridges, we stayed there and loved it. Beautiful rooms not too expensive and realy helpful staff, they even gave us a fre upgrade because it was our anniversary!

WOW!!!

I was amazed as soon as I set foot into Claridge's...

As I was early, I was asked to sit in the bar and wait. The drinks consist mostly of champagne cocktails and are not cheap (most around £13.00), but they are created by very skilled, friendly staff who are happy to chat and answer questions: They also taste amazing ...

The food in the restaurant is on another planet, as are all the staff and the general atmosphere. It is very laid back, but at the same time very proper. If you are a food lover then you must experience this restaurant. Everything we had was first class. We went for the 3 course, but were given pre starter, pre main and a pre dessert too which was great as it gave us an opportunity to taste a few more things...

It was my anniversary and we were presented with a small cake on a large plate which a chef had expertly written 'Happy Anniversary' on with icing. We were also given a short tour of the kitchens and introduced to the kitchen staff which was a great experience...

The place seems to run like clockwork. You only have to look like you need assistance and you will have a member of table staff by your side. Chairs are pulled from underneath you as soon as you look ready to rise, and then put back as you return to your table. Drinks are refilled with equal consideration and attention...

Our bill came to £250 which includes 12.5% gratuity (the staff here are worth more than that though), which for me is a lot for a meal for two, but was worth every penny and I can't wait to go again...

I guess with the cost of the hotel, the travel from the Midlands and food and drink for the weekend, we could have had a short break abroad. But if the choice should arise, it wll be no contest. You'll find me on table 2 looking for a cheap bottle of wine everytime...

Eight of us dining, superb food well presented. Nice break between courses, reasonable and comprehensive wine list. Service impeccable. Nothing too much trouble for the staff.
