Strada (Camden)

Come on, people - is this restaurant really so bad? To survive in Camden it has to reach a certain minimum standard, and this place, I think, is above that threshold more than comfortably.
So it's not Michelin-starred, but it turns out more than adequate service and food and is perfect for winding down after a stroll around the nearby Regents Park. Or gorging out after a workout at the nearby gym!
Atmosphere is nothing to write home about but it's been pleasant enough for me to make a couple of visits now and I would have no qualms about making a third.

Just had lunch there on one of the two meals for a tenner deal, my wife and i both had the pizza's, which was disappointing because the base was as thin as a rizla. I have eaten here before and dont remember them being this thin. The flavour was good, but the service was terrible, waited about 30 mins for our pizza and the place was only a 3rd full. will not be going back at least to this branch anyway.

well, food was good enough but not keen on the 'not-so-optional' optional service charge - they wanted about a fiver on a bill of £30 - i decided £2 was about right - we were just about to leave when the sour-faced italian girl presents me with a second bill for - you've guessed it- £3!!! told her where to stick it, politely of course and she actually snarled at me and glared (rather than smiled) at us at the door when we left - wont bother going back

Had dinner here with my boyfriend last night and was disappointed. Were given complimentary water when we arrived- we were practically made to feel grateful for them giving us tap water! Wine list is very over-priced, house red at £13 is just table wine with a value of about £3! Ordered some olives to nibble and got a few salty rubbery olives. My caprese salad was good but paying £5 for one tomato sliced up? Boyfriend's pizza was good enough. Efficient and friendly staff but food nothing special and generally over-priced. Doubt I'd go back.
