Strada (Clapham)

Met up for lunch with friends last Saturday. Started off well with a nice friendly welcome and presented with complimentary water. Started to look at the menu and thought a bit pricey but we were in Clapham. 3 of us ordered the Lobster and Prawn Risotto at £13.95 so you'd expect to get a good portion. WRONG! Dish came to our table but where was the Lobster? Few tiny pieces from the claws and that was it! Tasted ok, but real rip off!

One friend asked the waitress if the Lamb Shank came with any vegetables. Was told that it only came with potatoes and nothing else. Her dish came to the table and the Lamb was covered with vegetables in what seemed like a tomato sauce. She couldn't eat it so had to scrape off all the vegetables.

As we were eating, one of the chefs came out with his apron and his jogging bottoms which was filthy and looked as though it hadn't been washed in weeks! Please! If you work in the kitchen wear proper chef's clothing or at least clean clothing - this was a real put off to our meal!

Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return!

The place came recommended by many of our friends. I must have been unlucky with my food because the people I came with liked what they had. I had the prawns and they tasted bland and fishy. I was not impressed at all. The staff was very friendly however.

Pizza really nice - nice crunchy base and huge size, Salads ok, dressing very good. Staff very friendly, and not "aggressive", We didn't wait too long for food

Restaurant little bit loudy, but this is Italian restaurant and the're always shouting. :),

Tables are too close to each other, no privacy at all.

Overall, not bad :)

Visited this Strada beofre heading off to a concert. Myself and my boyfriend both enjoy pizzas so this looked like the best option.

Staff were friendly, i love the way you get free bottled water, i only really drink water with a meal so its good for me!

We both ordered the roasted veg pizza (being veggies), the base was just right and the toppings were nice and fresh.

The only thing i will say about all Strada's is they need to inprove their salad, every time i get a side salad it always tends to have brown edges as it the salad was abit old!

Other than that great pizzas!
