I can't believe that people can get so excited about a chain restaurant. I have been to Strada and everything I have had seemed like something I could have cooked myself at home. The seafood risotto had about 3 mussels on it and was a very stingy portion. Also the pizzas are always so dry. I am not saying its revolting food or has rude staff, it's just I think it will be a real shame if people flock to these chains and all the genuinely good and unique restaurants go out of business.

As for Strada being the best Italian chain I would say that was definitely Pizza Express, (especially as it doesn't have a service charge which you feel obliged to pay regardless) but I still wouldn't want to go there all the time.

I have been to a few Strada's in the last year (Bath, Richmond and Holborn)... The Putney one was the best by far. Although its a chain and the menus are all the same, there is something magical about there pizza's... I love them!

The added bonus with the Putney Strada is the 50% off voucher you get at the bottom of your reciept (only to be used in Putney). This makes the already reasonable meal EVEN cheaper!

All in all, Great Pizza and Cheap! What more could you ask for?

Excellent. Food-wise, Strada knocks the socks off every other Italian chain, in my opinion, and this one is no exception.
