Actually, we dont mind eating here, its quite cheap (about the same price as Stockpot) and the staff are friendly. The music, which is the main reason to come here, consistently agrees. Thankfully, this night, unlike other unfortunate times, we werent disturbed by the dreadful harpie Amoral Winehouse shambling and stumbling onto the stage (we would have walked out again) and we had real music by real musicians.

Manager's a delight too.

Went last saturday to Jazz after Dark, the music was great. DON'T EAT THERE. Drinks are well priced and the £5 extra for not eating isn't a bad move. Why don't these small places keep menus simple?

Went to this restaurant / jazz venue on tuesday night it was my best night out for a long time. We were very lucky because we were planning to leave when suddenly amy winehouse appeared, she joined the house band and sang for ages. i always wanted to see her live so it was a lovely surprise. she sat in the VIP area with friends and she was joined by Mark Ronson later on. Its a lovely cosy venue they do great Tapas & cocktails.

All in all a great night out, will definately be making a return visit soon.

Went for Dinner & Music at Jazz After Dark - Firstly Food was Horrible, Super small portions of food and really presented bad. The Evening Jazz group was great band and nice music, I would recommend going for Drinks only as food is not the joints main strength at all! plus 10£ cover charge to eat is a bit much

(15£ for non-dinners)

On the positive side Drink were reasonable and service was quick!

Went to Jazz after Dark on wednesday night to celebrate my girlfriends birthday, we were a group of 10 so we booked in advance to get a table in the music area. it is a lovely cool place with a great selection of Tapas and an amusing cocktail list. They had a house band playing, a new orleans female vocalist with pianist, bass ansd sax they were very entertaining. Suddenly to our amazement in walked Amy Winehouse with a group of friends, she is really lovely she was chatting happily with everybody. She had cocktails and tapas just like us and after to our joy the house band invited her to sing. She sang two songs and she left the crowd overwhelmed. We are all huge Amy fans and to see her in the flesh and to speak to her is a real thrill, We all agree that she is a gem and a true artist, not only that, also she is so sweet and down to earth. This was certainely the best Birthday my girlfriend ever had.

Greek Street was awash with onlookers and about 20 Paparizee snapping Amy and next day it was the talk of the town with headlines "Amy has secret gig in soho jazz club" the Mirror was the only paper kind to Amy the rest of them just wanted to slag her off as usual (very strange)

We are so happy that we choose Jazz after Dark on the right night, by the way the admission on a wednesday is only £5 where can you find a lovely venue for such good value.

I had the pleasure of spening my birthday at jazz after dark on monday night,Pete Doherty was playing there. we arrived about 6pm to have dinner, the food was wonderful I had the spanish mixed grill, after a couple of jugs of cocktails we were certainley in the mood for music. Pete arrived about 10.30 to an overwhelming audience, It was an amazing show we ended up jumping on the tables with excitment. I havent seen such a great atmosphere in a very long time,

Pete performed till after 1am leaving the crowd estatic.the only downside was the absence of the lovely Kate Moss. I would certainely recomend Jazz after Dark. Its a lovely cosy venue perfect for any occasion.

My first vist to this Jazz club / Restaurant was so overwhelming that I just have to write this review. It was Saturday night we decided to spend my friends leaving do here. We started on the Mojitos which were the best I've ever had. After a few rounds we decided to order an array of Tapas which arrived on large trays, they were very tasty and really good portions, great value @ £3.95 per dish. Some of our still hungry group went on to order the Spanish Mixed Grill and Fajitas which were all perfectly presented.

The Live Jazz band called Realta came on @ 10.30, they were most entertaining playing a lovely mix of Jazz / Soul / Funk and Reggae. It was a truly memorable evening.

The venue is versatile enough for girlie catch-up, a hot date or group parties which were all out on Saturday night. In the private area I spotted a potrait of Kate Moss, the waiter told me it was done by the owner, and he is waiting for her to collect it, she is a regular there with Pete Doherty.

We will certainly be making a return visit asap. It is advisable to book as it was packed.

Great for Tapas and Cocktails above all the amazing Mojitos.

I went to Jazz After Dark saturday night. Disappointing, really disappointing! Food was awful. Atmosphere was really bad. Music was really nice, however we could enjoy it just until some people started dancing literally on our heads… I’d never come back again. The night was a disaster as I had invited lots of friends saying that it was supposed to be a really nice place.

£5 at the door to a live music venue in London is brilliant! The staff where superb, the food was hot and tasty, the jug of cocktail was nice (I'm a beer drinker but it was Christmas) and the music was excellent. Musicians seemed to come and go to this free for all which added to the raw feeling of the place. Yes, Jaxx after dark is small but I liked it a lot and will definately be going back.
