Marquess of Anglesey

I have eaten here a couple of times and have always been reasonably happy. However, last time, I was served with fishcakes which were still frozen in the middle. The staff were charming, as always, and took the meal back for re-heating. However, there was no reduction in the bill to reflect the fact that our meal was, in effect, ruined. Perhaps this was a one-off but it must be a pretty poor chef who cannot warm up a fishcake properly.

The Marquis of Anglesey is almost opposite the Royal Opera House. Convenient for a pre-theatre meal. Have eaten here, upstairs, at least twice and have been delighted on each occasion. The staff are young, attentive and friendly.
The food, for the price, is excellently presented and cooked with flair.
Downstairs is rather noisy.
I will be eating here again very soon.
