Blue Eyed Maid, Spice Lounge

Read the reviews and decided to try The Spice Lounge. My wife and I were very pleased with both the service and quality of the food. The manager came over and talked with us about the various dishes and we really did enjoy the wonderful flavors of the food. TRY THEIR SPECIALS! We had a chicken and lamb dish that made you want to lick the plate. Must admit it was a Tuesday night we were there and service that night seemed to not be a problem. We ate upstairs but the food is served in the Blue Eyed Maid Pub also. Give it a try!

After a few drinks around the Borough market I was looking for a good curry house. I stumbled upon the Blue Eyed Maid to my misfortune. The food took over an hour to be served. The quality of the meat look suspect. I now know what a mutant king prawn looks like. The kitchen looked like it hadn't been cleaned for several weeks. The final straw was the chatty bowls the next day. Go there at your own peril.

I am a regular goer at the Blue Eyed Maid pub, I enjoy the friendly service and atmosphere. During sports events the spirits liven up and make the event more enjoyable.

I also enjoy a scrumptious finger licking meal upstairs at the Spice Lounge Restaurant, where the service is super and always with a smile.

This indian is above the Blue Eyed Maid pub and I have been coming here every couple of months for the last two years and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal.

The menu is standard fare but the food is definitly above average.

The restaurant is a smallish but airy wood floored room and the service is always with a smile. It is always nice when the host remembers you as well.
