Great value. West end type restaurtant in highgate. Always have good meal. Good date place - low key but cool.

Great place on a week night, but stay well clear on a Friday or Saturday.

You'll be able to get a seat, but you'll be horrified by the service. they always seem to be understaffed, meaning that the poor souls who are unfortunate enough to be on shift are overworked, bordering on manic.

Therefore expect to be waiting about twenty minutes to order a drink and about the same time to get your bill - which generally will be slid across the table at you.

Shame as it's reasonably priced and a great place to go before a night out.

I went to Dim T on Saturday night with a friend who lives round the corner and we both came away saying what a great meal it was. If you're used to Yauatcha then maybe it's not amazing, but for a local restaurant I thought it was pretty good, and the dim sum - in particular the scallop - was delicious.

DIM T is not short of atmosphere and can generate a modest crowd, certainly at the end of the week. Unfortunately what it brings it numbers and atmosphere it lacks in quality or service. Whilst the more standard, unenterprising meals are bog-standard and the dim sum have a tasty yet predictable resonance of high street produce, many of the more ambitious dishes are impressively lacking. On numerous occasions I have found that meals turn up padded out with the end-of-produce scraps and too often with bones unremoved. The quality shortfall is sadly not compensated for by the team of staff who seem more keen to rush through your order than make themselves available or focus on bringing everything that has been ordered. Even the distracting decor of the venue is insufficient to preoccupy you when frequently waiting for main course to arrive whilst watching others in your party devour theirs. 4/10

not a fan at all i'm afraid, very surprised at the other reviews. This restaurant tries to be a mix of every type of asian food but doesnt get one of them right! Why do restaurants have to choose to do everything badly instead of one thing really well? Stir fries are small and drenched in sauce and not very tasty, salmon was very overcooked. Dim Sum not so bad but that's about it as the service is very poor with the staff not really speaking any English!

We're in Dim T Highgate and Charlotte St probably at least once a week. Love it. Really really good dim sum. Also, the sesame prawn toast is the best I've had (ever), and the chilli squid is excellent too.

I agree with the other comments mentioned. It is a very good place to go after work or for dim sum on the weekend. The dumplings are very good quality and the stir fry's are as good as I have had in any other noodle shop. I am from Australia and therefore eat a lot of good modern asian food. It hasn't failed to impress so far.
