Context

Context has a nice chilled out atmosphere, nice comfy sofas and good deco. Food is good, basic bar food at reasonable prices. The waitress was miserable and pretty rude but in spite of that I'd still come back here.

Totally disagree with the previous comment. Went today for lunch and

1. The table was set.

2. The waitress knew my name.

3. The price was fabulous.

4. The Portions were generous.

5. Waitress remembered the ice & lemon in my drink.

6. The Lasagne with Salad was £5.

7. The Salad was fresh, gentle sprinkling of garlic was very nice. You could see and taste the lemon juice.

8. The Rocket was crisp, crunchy and fresh.

9. The Pepsi was sparkling. I hate it when fizzy drinks have no bubbles, but this had the fizz.

10. The waitresses were attentive.

11. Decor was bright and table settnigs were organised.

12. Toilets were fresh and obviously attended to.

13. Hand Soap was nice.

14. Floor was very clean.

15. Tables were well spaced in the restaurant and clientele polite and mature.

16. I will be eating there again as I took a client.

We recently had our Christmas lunch at Context and, it has to be said, we had a fantastic time. While the food isn't exactly haut cuisine it did the job. The staff were very friendly and really made it for us. We ended up staying for a good part of the evening as well to make the most of their club downstairs. Recommended.

This is somewhere to avoid at all costs. We waited 50 minutes for food after ordering one lunchtime despite reserving a table in advance. We were all late back to our offices.

Food poor. Service even worse. Will certainly not be going again.

Good for a quick drink after work. Gets very busy Friday night. Half price all drinks during happy hour before 7pm!
