What a disappointment.

Visited today and have only bad things to say. Firstly I asked for a fresh orange and lemonade, to be told that they had no orange, so I ordered a lager shandy only to be charged £3.20 for the privilege.

We than moved onto our meal which was Pasta for me, Bangers and mash with a side order of chips for the wife. When the food arrived the pasta looked like a kid’s portion, and for £8.50 very expensive for what it was, the wife’s mash was cold as where the chips which were reheats, we sent them back and five minutes late they came back hot.

Very disappointed, visited this place about a year ago and the food was great, this place has gone downhill.

booked a table for two people and turned up at the appointed time only to be told that they'd had a big group arrive so too bad for us. not what you need to hear, least of all on a saturday night at 8pm

most annoying, not to mention unprofessional, we had not been contacted beforehand, not even a complimentary drink. In fact the woman there was smiling when she broke the bad news.

I think it's disgusting that anywhere would do that to anyone that has booked in advance and i will never set foot in the place again - nor will my friends.

It takes a special talent to make bad macaroni and cheese.

I thought I was on safe ground when I ordered it for my toddler and me to share as a quick lunch. 7.95 seemed expensive but I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

On the menu it was listed as Macaroni and Cheese with Peas and Broad Beans.

What arrived was penne overcooked to the point of being mush with a greasy sauce which tasted of nothing - not a hint of cheese - and a few peas and chives sprinkled on top.

It was disgusting and I sent it back and asked for my money back.

The waiter seem completely unconcerned. After a vague apology he gave me my money back and returned to his conversation at the bar with barely a pause.

This was the worst food I have ever been served in a restaurant.

If they can't even make macaroni cheese, god only knows what the rest of the menu is like.

I went to Greenwich Park Bar and Grill with 4 other friends today for lunch, Sunday 29 March, and it was an awful experience. We would have preferred to eat in the park but the cold weather lead us inside. When we asked the waitress what the roast was served with her answer was 'I don't know, but I know it's beef'...after a bit of prompting she went to find out. When we ordered our food the restaurnt was empty but somehow it took 40 minutes for burgers, salad and steak to arrive. The manager was indifferent in his attitude when questioned about this. I had to go get my own steak knife. The bacon was omitted from the burgers, and the steak was undercooked. Needless to say, the bill was the fastest item to arrive at the table. We didn't leave a tip. I think they are too reliant on location for good service.

I was there in july 2008, hungry and tired after having visited the park. I ordered steak and chips and found a table outside in the backyard. The staff was kind and asked me how i wanted the steak.

When the food came it was disapointing. First of all, they gave me no cutlery ! i had to walk inside and ask for it.The stark was impossible to chew. For the chips there was onely an small plastic bag of ketchup.

I also had a beer, and the total price 11£ was too high.

I liked the atmosphere and would likely drop in an other time for a beer, but i would absolutly find an other place to eat.

I saw a review on another website from a happy customer saying the burgers were served quickly. Hello, they're frozen burger patties you'd expect to pick up at a supermarket. For £8.50 you'd expect a little better. On top of that, it wasn't served with sauce and the "salad" is "lettuce".

The employees are extremely rude, not sure if they've encountered humans before. On asking where the sauce was that is advertised with the burger, and we were told they had run out. Then ten minutes later some random sauce was slammed on to the table.

Never ever ever again.

Feels like they've just opened but haven't had the time to train the staff in human interaction or the laws of physics yet.

Food arrived cold, they took it away and microwaved it, including the salad. Brought back with the most un-heartfelt apology they could muster.

Bar staff didn't seem to know the difference between gin and tonic (what I ordered) and gin and soda water (what they served).

Surly staff, tired and grubby furnishings, so-so food. This place is in a great location, but like so many Greenwich venues I suspect it suffers from having a constant stream of one-off visits from tourists and so just doesn't have to try very hard.

Greenwich Park Bar & Grill, 2/3/2007

I booked a table for the Friday evening as I was expecting the place to be heaving, like the rest of Greenwich usually is on a weekend, but between 7:30 - 9pm we and another couple were the only diners in there! It was pouring with rain outside which probably doesn't help business but still...

The waitress was attentive, efficient, polite, friendly and spoke perfect English. The restaurant decor is beautiful. We were served complimentary olives and bread which were lovely.

Unfortunately there was no atmosphere, the food was overpriced and of very average quality.

I had the spinach & ricotta ravioli (£11.50) which was overcooked, smothered with onions and cherry tomatoes, pretty tasteless and served with neither freshly ground pepper nor a sauce. I asked for parmesan to give it some interest.

Everything was beautifully presented but that cannot compensate for the average food. (And they need to get rid of the cafeteria-style salt & pepper shakers from the tables!)

If I were to hear they'd sorted out the food I'd go back as the place is lovely, but until that time I'll dine out elsewhere.
