Eight of us ate at this place on New Years eve 2007, the place was very busy, but no more so than I would guess on a Saturday night.
Without doubt, and I assure you with no exaggeration, this was the singularly most unpleasant and appalling meal I have ever eaten. It started with up to 45 minutes gap between the first and last persons starter being served. Some didn't even get their starter! Ditto with the main course, dishes were wrong, missing and when served the food was cold, partially cooked and generally disgusting. My 11 year old lad could cook better (no offence Myles, you're a great cook).
We left after the main course and simply refused to pay the bill in full. The meal including drinks to that point came to £290 and they had the cheek to include 12.5% tip. I offered them £100 and suggested they were lucky to get that. After much dialogue, they accepted the £100! We were robbed at that.
Don't even think about going here! And if you go anywhere you where the food or service is lousy SIMPLY DON'T PAY. STOP BEING BRITISH AND STAND UP FOR YOURSELVES!!

Went to this restaurant last night with a friend. We chose this venue as it was packed, so we took that as a sign of a good standard. Apart from the ambience we were disappointed. My friends swordfish was raw all the way through. He ate a little before he noticed. They took it away, and came back with the original piece recooked. No apology, no discount. As the previous reviewer commented, we found the waiters to be rude and standoffish.
Dont go there!

- Rude waiters
- Waited an hour for our starters then half the table got theirs half an hour after the other people on the table
- The waiters blatantly lied to us more than once
- They blamed their short-comings on only having one chef... on a Sat night...
- Food very boring and a chocolate dessert that tasted nothing like chocolate and had most probably been bought from a shop
This was the most diappointing meal ever. It was for a friend;s birthday and we were all totally shocked by how bad it was, particularly given the high prices. I would not recommned it at all.

I took my girlfriend for a dinner there. We ordered seabass and beef fillet as main courses. My seabass was a bit too salty and the taste of the fish not that fresh as advised by the waiter. I have good experiance as a seafood consumer and I can say the fish has been frozen for more than a week. Beef -nothing special. Piece of poor meat which I believe has been forgotten to be marinated. On the top of it the meat was poorly dressed. The atmosphere was quite ok apart from disturbing behaviour of one guy sitting, drinking and shouting to the staff. Asking our waiter to prevent this kind of behaviour I was advised that the person was the restaurant owner... I do understand everybody runs his business in his own way but it should have happend in front of all the customers. In terms of prices -high comparing against food quality. That was not the first time in this restaurant for me but I believe it was the last time when I had my meal there.

I took my son and his girlfriend to lunch here. THe atmosphere is striking, and the aspect very clean and trendy. We sat in a booth with huge cushions. The food was good, my son's mozzarella cheese quite delicious. My linguine were a bit on the cold side, but that was probably my fault for talking too much!
Unrortunately a wasp had been lurking in one of the cushions and it stung my son's girlfriend. I was less than impressed with the reaction from the head waiter who could not appeared to have cared less. The other, younger, staff were good though, and I'd go again.

I first went to this retaurant when they just opened back in May. It is presented in 2 floors, the first floor being a bakery/bar area. Excellent service and attentiveness is what brought me back to the restaurant. The food is very good and always consistent and the booth are comfortable for a cozy night. Although, the scene suffers a bit from the restaurant being empty - I am sure the gem will be found out soon. I recommend this to anyone as a starting place for a big night out in Piccadily area, as the value for money is excellent and the staff makes you feel as if you are in a small village in Italy.
