Friday, July 16, 2010 - Nozomi is battling to bring down costs by offering special Bento box deals at lunchtime as a way of luring in locals. Bento boxes are boxes of of rice, fish or meat, and one or more pickled or cooked vegetables, originally designed as take out meals or lunch packs prepared at home for people to carry to work or school. In the UK we call them Tupperware Boxes.

My partner and I ate at Nozomi last night and were truly amazed at the experience.

Firstly, I was on crutches and the staff were so helpful and accommodating, providing a table with enough space and in an area away from other diners.

The food was delicious, the foie gras along with the crab to start, began the journey and set our taste buds alive and the journey didn't end until the last mouthful - it was amazing

The atmosphere was relaxed and vibrant, with the D.J. playing some eclectic music from the bar area.

The weather was awful as we left and the doorman helped me to the car, whilst keeping me dry under the umbrella.

Fantastic food, fantastic service and fantastic evening! Can't wait to go again

I must say that Nozomi truly is a unique restaurant. I do not normally write reviews, but I have been going to Nozomi for at least 2 years now and every time I go there I have a great evening. The staff always make me feel so welcome, even before I got to know them.

You cannot really describe the place in words, its something you have to experience for your self! The food is actually very good, and in my opinion is getting better and better. The Atmosphere Nozomi creates is unbelievable, great people and music.

If your looking for somewhere to start your weekend or just somewhere to take your girl friend/ friends etc out, I would strongly recommend Nozomi.

I went to Nozomi on Friday and had such a good time that I went back Saturday as well! Food was first class (I recommend the Chilean sea bass and the wagyu beef sirloin), the management are all friendly professionals and the music was so amazing; the place has such a unique vibe - an ambience that oozes pure cool. Throughly enjoyed my weekend and would recommend it to all those that like contemporary Japanese cuisine

The place hasn’t lost any of its charm

The music, cocktails, food and people are still as good as there always where

They have changed the menu a bit but all the major dishes are still there

i have been to nozomi now a couple of times and have found it to nothing but excellent

the guy with the hat on the door will park the car and once you are inside I am amazed every time again

beautiful people, great music and the bar is rocking. sometimes you have to wait for the table but its always worth it

the staff look good and know their staff. the german guy (I think is the manager) will do your menu and you will have the best dishes in the house

fresh sushi ,great grilled meats and the chilien seabass is just to die for. cant wait to go again

the place really went downhill ,in last few years ...was the talk of the town ..

now you arrive ,at the door ,welcomed ,by a security man ,someone ,without any ,clue ,about customer service ,and no clues ,about ,how to deal with vip ,customers {if they have any left ]..

inside you re lucky if you get served,by a bunch of incompetent people ,management included ,,,,,,spend your money elsewhere ...

only good inside it s the music..the dj sound competent ...but we went there to eat ,not to dance ,and the food arrived cold and tasteless...

Nozomi has been about for I think 5 years and I had the pleasure to dine several times during this time. I must say it is always a great please to spend the evening at Nozomi, the food is good and the sushi first class plus they have a Dj on every night of the week, my last visit as usual was fantastic

Awful food, awful prices, awful people.

We really wasted a perfectly good evening out on this hole, where we got fed disgusting (bordering on inedible) food, got serviced by incompetent, ignorant (about the food and menu) staff and were presented with an insult of a bill at the end.

They should be embarrassed!

We went to Nozomi today when we passed by Knightsbridge. Surprisingly we were the only customers there. The answer comes after reading our experience.

Foodwise, it's really not up to the standard of fine dining and there are plenty of Japanese places that do much better food than Nozomi. The rice in the maki roll was too soft and the beef in hotpot was far too salty for my liking. Side dishes were too greasy. The best thing they offer is sashimi which no cooking is required. Each cup of green tea costs £3.50...unfortunately they are not Japanese green tea, so tasteless that I can make a better cup of green tea at home using teabags from supermaket! The most interesting thing we have found was indian music was played throughout our meal.
