With no prior in reservation a friend and I were whisked up the top half of what is a beautiful buzzing restuarant by a sharply dress chap at the door. Unfortunately our exhiliration soon turned to dismay when we were slapped with what was really an insult for bill for food that was at best mediocre and very small. I left still feeling hungry and yet unable to finish the food on my plate. Its a shame because the atmosphere is very good but atmosphere is more of a bonus not a prerequiste to fine dining

Most probably the worst 'japanese' restaurant I have eaten at in London. The salmon/sashimi was of lower quality, the black cod resembled a soup and the poor attemps of the 'chef' to create original dishes, resulted in a very unpleasant combination of yellowtail sashimi with fennel (!).
The service is absolutely ridiculous: staff is incompetent and very ignorant about the menu and ingredients - the term 'handroll' was completely alien to our waitress.
A pathetic attempt for sushi-beginners at trying to play with the big boys (Zuma & Nobu) results in a shamefull and embarrassing result for all: the management of the restaurant and the poor patrons who have to sit through a not even mediocre dinner.

Who is that blond older guy who works at Nozomi at the door?
He is screaming at people.
Did he ever work at Billingsgate fish market?
He's not very classy .

I guess it depends what you want from a restaurant. This place has the perfect address, great decor, a trendy crowd, but alas, absolutely no class. We were made to wait 30 mins for our table which I wouldn't normally mind - but it was so crowded there was no room to move and we couldn't get to the bar, so we were shunted about on the stairs. No one came to find us we had to make our own way to the restaurant when tired of waiting, two dishes ordered weren't available, food arrived cold, staff who were clearly stressed were arguing amongst themselves. I spoke to the manager to complian - the free champagne seems to come out all too easily - "so what are you going to tell me, you had to wait for your table, the food was average and the service was bad" he said, which pretty much summed up my complaint yes, "you don't understand what were trying to do here" - meaning I guess that this is what we should have expected. "You still had a great time" (my trecherous friends had started dancing), "see you again". I guess he can afford the arrogance, they're selling the 'experience' and people seem to be buying it. I wasn't sold though, plenty of places I'd rather spend my time and money.

We had a fantastic evening at Nozomi! The food was the best I've had in a long time, we had the wagubeef, and yes it's a bit expensive BUT it was worth it! The service was excellent too! We will return for sure!

Typical London hot spot with the usual crowd, the very good food and wine, the nice bar, the loud music while you're eating and the not-so-great service at the table (although we were offered a bottle of champagne for 7 to compensate for the 25 minutes wait).
Perfect for a fun trendy saturday night with a group of friends.

went to Nozomi on Saturday night and the atmosphere was incredible, the whole place was buzzing. if you love sushi as much as i do, then this is the place for you, it was so fresh. Im also a fan of cocktails and there was no shortage of those either, all together loved the place and will be making my next visit soon.
