I went to Nozomi last friday with a group of 4 and had a very enjoyable evening. The staff where very helpful and pleasant, some of which were very amusing. The music is second to none and the crowd was great.

Nozomi was very busy when we went., and they made one mistake but nothing severe, understandable, these things happen time to time. The food was fantastic, great sushi and the wagu beef. After dinner we decided to have a few drinks before going to the club. We discovered that the bar as well as the restaurant had really started to pick up, great atmosphere and the cocktails are very exceptional.

I would defiantly recommend Nozomi, its the ideal place to be before going out. Great crowd, food and atmosphere.

Probably one of the most exquisite night outs I have had in a very long time. Nozomi has an electric buzz which when combined with its finest of menus, executed to the finest degrees of perfection, creates a unique dining experience suitable for those with the highest expectations and standards. I would highly recommend Nozomi and am delighted to be able to return the favour of the experience I enjoyed with this review.

Nozomi... what a restaurant! One of the best soft shell crab dishes I have ever tasted! The food is amazing and whilst waiting for the rest of the party to turn up we enjoyed some of the cocktails at the bar.

At the door I was greeted by the most hostile of doorman, who was really quite rude. I was going in for drinks at the bar ,one of my friends had reservations inside and yet he was adamant not to let me in as I was not dressed appropriately.

The man in the hat at the door however could see our distress and was doing his best to help us when he saw we did have a reservation he was let us in. On entering I found a man dressed in jeans and a T shirt and did question how smart that was if they did have a dress code then that would obviously not fit it.

I am really quite shocked at the hoohaa at the door by the doorman and have travleed a great deal and never come across somone who was so arrogant. Are we really changing with the times or is it just a matter of keeping up appearances.

The atmosphere was v stiff and not at all welcoming.

I really should have read the review on this site before booking. I agree with everything and I am only 35!!!

Music so loud your ears bleed. Trustafarians dominating the space in the bar and restaurant, often sitting more to a table than originally reserved thereby restricting the space for others. The service considering the price was not attentive and tended to focus on the larger tables for obvious financial reasons.

My final points and to some degree the core reason you go to an expensive restaurant concerns the food. What I have learnt about so called high-end Japanese in London and the more traditional smaller restaurants dotted all over is that the differential really is not significant enough to warrant the price being 3-times higher! It is not like going to Gordon Ramsey rather than a local contemporary restaurant where you can experience the quality of food and service being significantly superior. Between Yumenoki on Fulham Road and Nozomi I felt that the food was very similar overall but in retrospect should have chosen Yumenoki. After living in Tokyo for 4-yrs, it is the closest I have found to proper Japanese in terms of food and service.

One parting shot about Nozomi, no Shochu on the menu. Shocking really.

Having viewed the menu online, I was really looking forward to my evening out. Sadly, front of house was rather less than inviting. We were plonked at our table rather curtly. Maybe the fact that we were not in the age group of the other diners apart from our son who is 31, meant that we were not viewed as potentially good customers. The lighting was so dark that I literally could not read the menu. Our rather kind waiter turned the lights up so that I could actually chose my food but it was soon turned down. The only benefit I could see of the lighting was that no one could see any imperfections. The music was so loud we could not hear each other speak. My son asked if it could be turned down but was ignored. Sadly, the food was remarkable which made it even more disappointing. To eat delicious food is why I go to a restaurant but I do expect to have an overall pleasant experience. Not to damage my hearing and be unable to read the menu. We were not asked if we had enjoyed our food or our evening. They also did not give it away which I suppose is to be expected in that area. Having said that we do not mind paying a lot for good food but the whole experience was not a joyous one. We will not be returning.

Rarely have I been this disappointed by a restaurant as I was at Nozomi last night. Service was the worst I have witnessed in a long time - we ordered a bottle of sake and the glasses arrived in 20 mins, the bottle itself took another 30 and a question from us regarding its whereabouts. The cooked lamb dish arrived 30 mins before the sashimi which we also had to ask for after the waiter came and took away all the soy sauce and we realized we weren't getting any sashimi unless we asked for it. The softshell crab dish was burnt and when we complained he said "this is how we serve it." He was looking for excuses rather than finding solutions to the issues they clearly had. The table next to us complained of the slow and inconsistent service as well.

It is a shame because the place has great location and atmosphere but they need to hire a new manager and sort of their staffing and kitchen issues asap. Zuma and even chavvy Nobu are light years ahead.

This is a fabulous restaurant with all the right ingredients of amazing food, great atmosphere, charming service and a never-ending cocktail list. Agreed it is a place for the fashionista to be seen but once you get past all that- the restaurant certainly delivers. Order the sushi and sashimi which is fresh and amazing- better than nobu! It is expensive but you pay for the area, the place and the freshness of ingredients. Definitely recommended!

Having been to Nozomi on New Years eve I wanted to share with you the experience I and my riends had. "WHAT A NIGHT" the food was just excellent, the wagyu beef superb, the black cod, the best we have tried, the service was polite and attentive but more over the atmosphere was the best for a restaurant i have even seen.

Dining next to our footballing heroes of Chelsea and Arsenal, made the night for my wife our our friends. Thank you to the host for an excellent table.

we were intending on going on to a club after but decided to stay where we were as we felt and was made to feel so welcomed and at home.

I was recommended Nozomi by several of my friends; I wanted to go somewhere that had fantastic food with an ambiance to complement it. I found that at Nozomi. It was a marvelous evening, I was looked after by my waiter, I loved the music, so much so in fact that I have exchanged emails with the Dj on the promise of a CD. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, the service was impeccable, the food delicious and I look forward to my next visit.
