Each time I have visited Nozomi, the food has been superb. I love Japanese food and I can truly say this is one of the best in London. The atmosphere is fantastic particularly for a friday or saturday night...cool and contemporary with great music and a bar. Don't miss the black cod...probably better than Nobu. The seaweed salad also is fabulous...and I'm certainly not a salad person!!!

I went to Nozomi AGAIN last night, had such an amazing time, I dont understand people that write bad reviews about this place, take it from me, this is the coolest place in town, the food is incredible, the service was perfect and the music is so good i've considered stealing the DJ's ipod!! Love this place and will be back soon!!

My fiancee and I read all the recent reviews posted on this blog before going there last night. We were surprised about the negative comments as we knew that Nozomi is a top restaurant. However, once there the food was amazing, the best Japanese food that we ever had and the atmosphere was absolutely great, managers and staff were very polite and made every effort to make us feel at ease. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and please disregard all the negative reviews which are definitively and totally UNTRUE!!!

My fiance and I have very much enjoyed our recent trip to Nozomi. The atmosphere was fantastic and the service polite and attentive. Most of all the food was exceptional. The imagination and quality shown in the preparation of our dishes was probably the best I have experienced in London. Thank you to the staff there for making our evening so memorable.

This is more night club than restaurant and, unfortunately, it has more in common with stringfellows in early 90s than any of the usual Japanese sophisticated restaurants which can be visited around London. After sitting at a dirty table (having got to the table by the "manager" pointing to it rather than escorting us there) we complained and finally the table was cleared and set. It is extraordinary that a restaurant of this so called caliber and expense can behave more like a busy cafe. I came back to Nozomi to try again as the last time I was there I was equally amazed by the astonishing lack of courtesy and service. On the last occasion we were drinking cocktails at the bar and when we tried to sit down we were unceremoniously removed and not even allowed to sit for even a moment. If it is a bar then surely patrons should be allowed to sit down and drink their drinks.I remember this happening in stringfellows in my youth! That put me off for a very long time but I decided to give it another go but with even worse results than last time. The waiter taking our order tried to sell us everything on the menu. It was so tacky and so embarrassing! Surely a restaurant does not have to go to those lengths to sell the food. This was not advice about the menu this was cold hard selling which was really desperate and really sad. The oriental lady who actually served our food was a delight (if only the suited managers had the same amount of decorum and training). It was a relief to not see the manager anymore as he was so far up the backsides of the wealthy in crowd that we were spared any further dealings with him. For a manager to be sitting with customers and behaving as though he was having a night on the town instead of us was extremely infuriating. This was low class and when I got home I just wanted to take a shower!

Hadn't been to nozomi for a while and wasn't sure what to expect but its as good as it has ever been and the vibe is like no other place in town they have changed the menu and the new menus has some amazing dishes or just let the waiter do the order for you I recommed that

my girlfriend made the booking in nozomi for valentines and I had checked the reviews beforehand and was not quite sure
but now I am officially an convert. top notch evening. great food, service and the bar was great afterwards.

Given the prices, one would expect an excellent service..however food was forgotten and not delivered. Also, when we came to split the bill the waiter rounded the bill up another £4 (we had already paid a 15% service charge)..its not the amount that annoyed me, but the principle…When I complained about the extra charge, rather than be apologetic the waiter was arrogant…
Great food, pity about the service

I have to say, great food... But all the rest has been a disaster... First the team is stressed running while it's not necessary, second they serve you wine and not respecting what it is as a product, pushing you to consume more and more... Basically pouring two glasses of wine the same as if it was a pinte of beer but intensionaly forgetting the last guy at the table with the hope we would order one more.... What a shame! Last but not least, the service is charged 15% !!!! Oh yay one more thing.. We had to queue at least 15 min to get our coats back!
Complaining about this to the manager we have been offered three glasses of wine which we appreciated, hope they won't forget this for next customers.
