Sakun Thai

Myself and 6 colleges from work had dinner at the Sakun Thai last night, some of us being regulars, however this was my first time. We selected a whole array of dishes, my particular favorites were the Pork Dumplings, Jumbo Prawn Choo-Chee, and the Sweet and Sour Fish – the noodles and rice were perfect side accompaniments. The portions were good, and we stayed over 3 hours with friendly and courteous service. I left feeling that I would never be hungry again! Will definitely go back.

I am a regular customer of this restaurant. I agreed with LT that this restaurant has the Best Pad Thai in town, especially the King Prawn Pad Thai (just had it today with my friends, in fact).
Another dish I like very much is the Sizzling Beef, which I never find it in any other Thai restaurants.
The service is excellent and friendly like Jennifer said.

Contrary to the previous review, I recently came here with a friend and was very disappointed with the Pad Thai and would go so far as saying that it is the worst that I have ever eaten in a Thai or fusion restaurant.
It was greasy, the noodles overboiled; there was no subtlety of flavour. The only flavour gleaned was the excessive amount of lemon and tamarind juice mixed together to cover any culinary mistakes going on within the dish.
To add to this, after not finishing my food and subsequently complaining, I was still charged full price with service charge added.

We eat here pretty regularly. On a good day (I guess it depends on the chef) this place serves the best Phad Thai I've found in London. On any other day, it's still pretty delicious. The other dishes (stir-fries, other noodle dishes, starters...) I've tried have all been tasty although their crisy duck is still better done in Chinese restaurants. Don't expect much from the decor but this place is good value (for London). Cheerful service to boot.

Real authentic thai food. Service is good and friendly.
Good place for dinner although it is a little bit out of way.
